Hi all grab sifus, planning to get a used bezza/saga for my dad to earn extra bucks for leaving around Seremban area. He has not been working for "decade" due to his bankruptcy background. As family, we suggest if he able to earn some living rather than just stay at home and wasting time (yes - I'm saying wasting time rather taking care for family). Don't just comment something like "why let ur dad work at his age, why not you financially take care for your dad or etc" (long story cut short - not going to discuss for being a good child in this topic. Rather to say - allow him to gain pride by own earning instead)

Just to check - is that still possible to earn ~2k nett income monthly if driving around Seremban town? Will it be a good move for us help him starts his grab ride? please advise - and highly appreciated your comments.

Axia / bezza 1.0 , more than that is a GG(coz car maintenance is not cheap some more grab not going to cover a single cent for your maintenance). 8am-11pm would be best chance to get Rm 2K. Why buy car?? Grab rent it out nowdays you know?? Cover maintenance some more.

He fails for background check, and addition to that, every month need to pay rental for > 1,200RM, it seems not that worth than you pay for new car installment plus everymonth's maintenance.

If he fail for back ground check can he still be able to register as a driver?? If cannot be a driver then why need the car?? & forgot to mention that you must NEVER NEVER EVER considering get a PROTON / NEVER get a PROTON for grabcar. Because of the quality of the car & fuel consumption.(alot different) Just get a bezza /axia even if it just 1.0 cc bezza would be best choice. Would suggest you to just rent a car because doing grab now days earning not much really+you need to try first before you get your own car If you do the calculations right even normal job out there at McDonald's is higher & less tired + lower risk. Because if suddenly grab ban you then you have to still pay for your car. (which they will)

Seremban is not a good place to start after they restructure it, some more the demand is lesser compare to Klang Valley

I believe with his current status, rental from grab is not approved but yes can proceed be driver with own car. Are u saying to rent some car from other agency? Yeap - noted and will only source for bezza for now. Im too aware is not earning as good as working in McDonald but for his age, is more like a casual driving on his own sweet time.

Not expecting him to earn big bucks - would rather saying allowing him to earn some pocket money rather nothing. As for installment for car, that will be cover under me and my sister. Is a wise thought giving a fish rod for him to fish for himself rather him keep asking for fish.

I heard the rate for KV and seremban is totally different. Hence checking around, just hope if is possible for him to earn ~1K per month after petrol and maintenance as pocket money. I even don't mind if is ~ 700-1k RM. At least is not siting in house doing nothing.

KV has incentive, N9 only got incentive like certain amount. That doesn't guarantee u earning per hour. In short low demand will kill u, even my friend working part time at seremban also said he switch to klang valley after a few weeks trial.

Your idea is not feasible anymore, by next year enforcement will start, every driver will need to apply for permit and license from MOT to comply with. With your father situation, how is he going to register at first place? AFAIK bankruptcy person cannot have bank account to start with, now Grab has enforce each driver to have own bank account and prohibit third party bank account.

I understand what you mean bro, but i hope you also ask more first before you take the car because once you take it you cannot easily throw it back. Let say you pay for the monthly installment but the car maintenance is monthly also like services, Tyre, brake pad, absorber & many more......
(maybe you think now those things can last/will last quite long before you have to change it, but your guess it wrong. It is x2 time faster where you will need to change it compare how we use it normally because he will be driving the car considering it almost non stop, road conditions, heavyweight passager 2 person) example for absorber it should last for 100k KM before you should change it but with x2 faster then maybe you might need to change it at 50k KM. Few more things you need to add on if you get the car. Leather seats cushion, GOOD solar tinted for car windows(help reduce car interior TEMPERATURE & you don't put cap Ayam one spoil fast+not good at reducing temperature ), febreze spray for cushion cleaning, sun glass (good one) very important protection for eye. All the mention above is a must have basic for the driver to drive comfortably & less headaches. Already Rm 2k other you calculate your self.

Yeah, you can also try get the car from some other agency to give it a try first before going ALL IN. The price as you saw might be higher than own a car but if you minus back out maintenance it is actually more or less the same.(they cover your rental car maintenance) how is your old man body & health condition?? I don't think he can drive for long hour. That you will need to consider it as well. Because sitting there drive only also killing your health and body condition.

Yup, that with another intention to replace my old family car (20years old wira) with bezza. worst case scenario as you said, getting the car but cant proceed with being grab driver. Trying to sort out other hailing rather than grab, like fetching kids from taman to/back from school. Doing certain 'confirm' trip like fetching a person from/to work/school/tuition center or etc.

How much is the rental? Can cover meh if no riders or not good in taking.

Nak buat grab ke nak masuk car show. Aku x da solar film, leather seat. Bole je 3k bersih or more monthly. All he need a good strategy.

Good strategy can earn you more. Not all trip can be accepted

And I doesn't drive hardcore like most of the guys here
