Guys, now I'm still at old 30mb rm139 plan and I've wired an old tm router as a wifi extender to 2nd floor which can get everage speed ard 20-25mb.

Now applied for 100mb upgrade with a new router to be change,
the extender need to upgrade as well?
*
it depends on how well can the wifi extender receives signal from the router, if using 2.4Ghz, i don't think there will be much need for upgrade.

The old TM router is L7-N-R2000. Based on online spec, it support up to 300MB with 2.4835Ghz.
Wired (RJ45) from my Maxis Technicolor to the TM router as an wifi extender. Anyways, lets see how it works after the new maxis router comes in.
Thanks bro.

Any idea if this router is better than the aminia router?

I noticed this model does not have the antennas.

they do have antennas, its just internal. imo, external antennas will just slightly reduce interference with the electronics inside the router than internal antennas. All routers transmit exactly the same power it is regulated by the government. This means you will see little if any difference. The spec sheet is just numbers came out from the lab.

Thank you for the explanation.
By the way, for those who have recently upgraded their plan / speed.
How long does maxis takes to update our plan? a couple of days?

You might be mistaken on that, my friend. Some routers have RF power amplifier that can amplify the signal of both 2.4GHz or 5GHz. An example would be the TP-Link C3150. Compare that with the regular router, and you will see the difference.

this maxis fiber give you Public IP Address or Private like 100.64.0.0/10 ?

setup layout is same like Unifi?

I thinking to use UBNT Wireless Bridge at my friend house and send 100Mbps to my home non unifi taman

Anyone here signed up for the Astro IPTV + Maxis 10Mbps combo previously?
Will there be any upgrade done by Maxis soon for this package?

i just chat with them...According to them, Astro is planning to revise their fees for their IPTV. Its just ridiculous they are charging higher than MaxisFibreOne

But of course..the big question- when? and how much?

They dunno..

tempted to cancel the Astro Internet and go for Maxis FibreOne too.

Patch what? I wouldn’t do anything if you don’t know what you are doing. Maxis could be using their own proprietary firmware on the router.
