Is gym the only place to build body?

Can recommend me some other ways/place to do it?

Of course in McD we can also build our body, but that's not what I am asking for.
Just looking for some healthy routine activity besides gym.

Answer depends on what do you mean by build body.

Generally, to build muscle, you need to cause stress on the muscle by repetitive movements or heavier weights. That is why Gym is a good choice to get a toned, stronger or bigger muscle.

Anyway, there are many alternatives like body-weight exercise (squats, chin up, etc) yoga, dancing, TRX, boot camp, cycling, hiking, rock climbing, running, or pilates. All build the body but towards different types. From these, perhaps body weights exercises with little cardio may build bigger/toner muscle, just not that big and it will be grueling.

If you're really motivated then you can install pull-up bar to the door frame and buy a couple of dumbbells so that you can work out at home. Doing pull-ups develop upper body muscles. You can do squat with dumbbells at home. You can also start running around the neighbourhood.

Yeap, I am more toward outdoor activity kind of person.

Gym is not really my liking sweat.gif

I will focus on the bold part: body weight + cardio

Then you're gonna miss out on a very good total upper body workout.

In addition to the gym, I practice on the street, of course when the weather permits. Then the blood is saturated with oxygen. It is very useful.

The blood is always saturated with oxygen. Unless you are dead or almost dead

I did push ups, pull ups and all sorts of bodyweight exercises in my room when I first become interested in fitness. But you can only go so far with those because it's hard to progress in strength.

I am also engaged in my room with dumbbells of 1 kg, under the video with Jillian Michaels.

My living room is my gym. The yoga mat, a pair of sport shoes (indoor use only) and the dumbbells are there in plain sight so whenever I have the time I just do it. Coffee table pushed aside, plug in workout videos I had downloaded and voila!

I had signed up for 1 month pass with a gym before. But didn't really like the hassle of packing gym back and getting ready etc.

Free of charge and you can do it in any park with those poles and bars.

i m no expert but there are tons of ways to utilize your own body and even household items to become stronger.

gyms are a modern invention which makes it CONVENIENT to workout. if you're low on cash, then by all means find free alternatives with whatever you have at hand.
