Hello all

i lost my sim card, and i am not in malaysia. I am a taiwan resident and only back once a year. My phone plan is with validity 365 and will be expire on Sept.

1) Is that anyway i can top-up and renew my plan for another year for $33?
2) Can either go home next year and get a new sim card replacement later? (if i can extend my card for $33 for a year, without my sim card?
3) Or i can provide my IC to my friend, so he/she can help me to get a replacement of a new sim card? what document needs to get a replacement for my pre-paid card (bagus plan) if i do not come in-person?

Thanks

Andy

i dont know the procedure of prepaid but probably the same as postpaid.

needs a letter of authorization + I/C for postpaid. and penalty for losing sim card should be RM10~20?

should be the same.

Do you know how can i get the format of a letter of authorization, any example? So i can provide letter of authorization + IC to my friend to get a new sim card? How soon i can get a new sim card back?

Thanks

the format of the letter does not matter as long as it has your signature and who u authorize to get the sim card for u. just a simple letter really.

if they need further verification from letter and ur I/C copy from your friend (which i doubt so), u can escalate it further by calling maxis' number and have them refer to case number by asking them to create a case number to refer to when your friend walked in the centre, your friend can just ask them to refer to the case number and all is good.

this procedure or guideline is for postpaid so i'm not a 100% sure for prepaid.

If I'm not wrong, it's similar to the cost of a new SIM pack. RM10?
