applies to large items like buying vehicles, houses, electronic items such as TVs, computers, laptops, etc

Services like insurance are not affected i think.

Actually very simple. Just dont declare the sale when reporting SST, then they no need to collect the SST from the buyer lor.

the refund issue can be solved if they set a criteria to always refund once the investigation has reached 2 months. if the tax auditors cannot conclude whether the tax claim is fraud, then just give refund. tax auditors should learn to work smarter and harder to detect real frauds instead of penalizing every merchants by dragging the refund period to 2 years. generally once refund drags for too long, most business already considered that as loss and increase price to burden rakyat. that already goes against their original objective of a multi-layered tax that will not charge the tax multiple times.

anyone want to re-introduce gst again in the future should seriously consider this.
