 Maybank - Premier 1 account

I recently opened a cds account with maybank. I remembered that i've signed lots of documents. However, i don't remember i applied for Premier 1 account... is it part of the package that everyone will get the Premier 1 account if open a cds account with Maybank?

Hey guys, i transferred RM71k into premier 1 account. but in my trading account summary, everything seems to be zero. Is it normal?

yes, u trading will use the money in Premier 1.
but i dont keep money in Premier 1. Just when wanna buy stock then transfer the required money into the account.
Withdrawing the money out from Premier 1 take some time depending on when u request the withdrawal..
if already pass the time, will need to wait next trading day(not next day) for the fund to be available .

The Premier account is your saving account, as for the Premier 1 account... that is your current account also known as your trading account. You should deposit money first into the trading account before you buy your shares.

Yes, i do get interest. But I must have over RM50000 inside. I rememberred that i kept RM120,000 inside for few week and i get over RM50 of interest, which is cool.

I dont have maybank cds

But was sweet talked by bank officer to open premier account.

Yearly fees rm10 only.

Maybe will close later by end of the year. Not much benefit, unless you got too much money and dont know where to park.

Other than the checking facility and insurance coverage 🤦‍♀️ totally useless account with low saving rates

You will be better off with other banks which have better savings rates
