Normally you call up CS also no use.
As you heard they mention need final management approval, you can't do anything even through you push them.

Just take an easy way.. If you receive an sms been approve on Sept, then it is up to you willing to pay SST or not.
If you OK for it, then just pay for SST.. If don't want, then need to call them not need send the card to your doorstep.

Will follow up next week, I want the QMC... but don't want the Visa LOL.

But, celciuz apply the card, so if approved / issued in sept, as what JuneResource mentioned,, we can call to cancel without paying sst? Is it true? Bcoz my friend also have pending application with PBB.

If it's approved after September 1st, just call the bank to cancel it.
You have the right to do so if you haven't use the card.
I don't see what is the big fuss over there.

Let say approved on 14th August 2018, the billing date start from 14th or from date received card or from the self-activation date?

I don't think self-activation date and the statement date matter here.
It's just the approval date, date of issuance or card expiry date.

I never heard before "pre-approved" credit card.
If really do so, I guess all ppl beratur to apply credit card already.

It is subject to the bank wanna help u to absorb sst or not.

If you have car loan or housing loan, the bank may automatically send you CC even though you never apply for CC.
Or you apply for 1 CC, but you will receive more than 1 CC from the bank (eg Quantum)
Or you hold 1 CC, suddenly you receive a letter from the bank enclosed with other new CC.

please add netflix to no-cashback for online monthly renewal. Paid almost a year using this card only this month noticed it's not getting CB.

nope. i checked last month also no CB. didn't bother to trace back to the first time i use autodebit. i'll clarify with PBB since i got another online oversea payment didn't get CB. will update back once got any replies from them.
