I was once queue-in up behind a lady to pay. the cashier ask the lady "paywave?". her next response was very epic. She responded with very frantic way" No No No No No. use pin". the "No" she repeated with a scare and very long NO. i was like " how can malaysia maju like this  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

that is normal (human behavior) when new technology is introduced to the mass, lack of awareness, etc. with more usage by customers, more practices by merchants/staffs, things would get better.

it will be painful, but eventually will be a norm.

Ahh need to make another trip to the bank in this case =/. Okie thanks for the confirmation, was thinking I might have done something wrong in the process. Seems the e-SI behaves differently than MBB's.
*
not all e-SI works the same. each bank implement it differently.

assuming roughly the same amount of users targeting the swipe promo each week, and many not getting their usual cb (which they gotten in week1-5) or getting lesser than expected...

since the cb pool was claimed to be "depleted" in Monday morning alone, then where did the remaining cb goes to? hmm.gif

a) to those not fulfilling swipe count criteria? <-- nobody reported here, or keeping silent [wrong eligible users counted]

b) to those not suppose to get higher tier cb? <-- suppose to get rm15 but received rm50? etc etc [wrong eligble transaction counted]

c) to those didnt register but gotten the cb <-- keeping silent [wrong eligible users counted]

d) plainly under-utilized cb pool? <-- all due to wrong calculation

I called CS on Tuesday and was informed that the cashback pool for week 7-9 was depleted by Monday night around 10pm.
*
yes, that's expected to deplete in Monday (make sense), but that doesnt reflect to those not getting cb even swiping in the morning.

I am thinking maybe PB will really consider to declare BP topup as not retail transaction, means no more issue for them. tongue.gif

This is like reporting a loophole to them as only 600 BP user will exhaust the RM30,000 each week. even before 10 am of each Monday morning.

Anyway, we will see as we still have till 31 Dec 2018 for this campaign and maybe excluding BP will be meeting their real objective to all real retail spender.
*
if wrongly counted, excluding bp wont fix the issue anyway. later users shift to shopee (and you propose to ban it again?), then users shift to other platforms, and ban it again?. this cycle will not end biggrin.gif

I went to BNM today to register for eCCRIS and took the opportunity to print my latest CCRIS (up to 31.08.18).

I saw PBB application dated only yesterday but in fact it has reached PBB on last Thursday with the status of "Pending" and with a proposed CL which is the highest among all my approved cards.

Oh well, "Pending" doesn't mean anything, it can be rejected later. Still, holding on to the last hope. laugh.gif *Fingers crossed*

At least now I can view my CCRIS at my convenience...
*
make sense though. submission to their dept only internal/paperwork. submission to ccris could only happen after they key in the application details into their system.

2nd level approval will give a final assessment whether to approve or reject.

Yeah, so I can only wait... So far still no call from PBB and I feel this is not a good sign.

I saw other recent applied cards marked as "Approved by FI". Who is this FI? Just curious. hmm.gif

I wondering whether any of us here did "speed transaction" within few minutes under same merchant still get all CB? I still believe that their CB system got problem, not really related to "speed transaction" issue.
*
no issue for me.

reload bp 1x per minute.

speed or velocity transaction usually detected from payment gateway side to monitor fraudsters making excessive transactions in very short period of time, purposely to test card numbers and see which goes thru or not. some may also switch from 3d secure to 2d and test if goes thru.

I’m not even sure banning BP is going to solve the problem as currently we don’t know what’s causing the problem. BP is the easy target because well it’s the most popular feature for the weekly CB but it may not be the actual problem.
*
exactly.

bigpay is a new disruptive tool but it still doesnt violate pbb's T&C. furthermore, week1-5 have been "running" fine, bigpay or others, so there could be some unexplained reasons which we may/may not know.

all in all, hopefully PBB would start reviewing their eligibility calculation logic/formula properly, or at least matches with SN4M week1-5 and previous promos.

Lol, cannot be using excel, this is must probably through a program to list out the card holder with rules as this is not so easy be done manually as the card holder can be earning RM15, RM25 to RM50.

Maybe this will why PBB won't easily change the program as someone will need to debug the program and whether it is feasible or not as it is costly especially if the system from a vendor.
*
most likely it's semi-automation. if it's fully automated, we'd expect consistent results, cashback crediting, etc
