Is anybody like me who checks account details via care@unifi app every single day? laugh.gif

Unfortunately still no sign of upgrade yet in Seremban.. sad.gif

Yup sban still no news. I just got my bill. Surprise that got a discount of rm40. Prev was rm179 for 30mb then top up rn10 10 for 50mb.
But in the itemized billing saw that ultimate pack they charge rm60 and my ruby plus was -17. Previous bill was rm60 for ultimate and rm30 for ruby plus.
I'm confused. Shouldn't ultimate package contain ruby channels also? If that's the case then maybe I should go complain to see if can get refund for prev months

I'm not a bro la. laugh.gif
We only got UniFi last year's May and I relocated my 50Mbps from PJ to Seremban. Then last year can upgrade to 100Mbps with additional RM 10. That said, it wasn't a smooth upgrade because my whole taman only our house was using 50Mbps (the rest were 30Mbps) and when they got order from my account to upgrade to 100Mbps, it was quite challenging for them. After two technical teams tweaking outside and inside of my house only got the speed I requested. shakehead.gif

I'm quite pessimistic same thing will happen to my 800Mbps later, should be the only one in taman having this speed. doh.gif
*
Haha my bad. But gals also can be called bro . 😊. I also got mine during raya last year. Which taman are u at? I'm at s2 area. Yeah seldom got techie gals but it's cool😁

It's actually RM 99 for Internet and UniFi TV is RM 90. Hence total RM 189, with free 600 minutes calls too.

you have both ultimate and ruby right ?

so they removed your ruby pack without informing ?

can you check via unifi portal activity and see if there is order modify ?

thanks.
*
My initial.plan was ruby only. Then upgrade speed and add on ultimate with free calls. No order for cancellation. I make any complains also. Maybe it's like what sis fruitie said earlier, it's TM way of standardizing packages ??

Well, still it's redundant with the overlapping Ruby. Once I get my 800Mbps then I will ask for price reduction, at least I want to remove the Ruby package.
I thought Vision Home got much earlier than us. Didn't know about the same time too. biggrin.gif
Eh, I thought yours is 30Mbps?
*
Yeah vison homes got 2 yrs back I think but theirs using the pole type
I'm at pearl132( phase 4 vision home) using underground cables, that's why the delay after countless complains to TM. I started with 30mb then upgraded to 50mb with rm10 top up

Still waiting to be turboed in seremban area. Planning to change my dlink trash can to asus 88u. Saw in msia cost about rm1.3k but on taobao it's half the price. Very tempting. U guys know if there is any difference other than the warranty and plug type? Tq

Wait for ASUS promotion then it will cost lesser.

China units come with China Plug and China warranty only.
*
Haha doubt the price will be significantly lesser.

No. The total numbers of 5GHz channel legally available to be used as it differs from countries. Asus hardcoded it into the router and there's no way to remove it. Less channel available means you are more likely to have inteference in case of environment where there is multiple 5GHz broadcast around.

Channels legally available in China is lesser than in Malaysia.
*
Does it apply to only China models or those in USA also the same? Meaning it's region locked? So if around my place no one uses 5ghz frequency then it should be ok?

My main aim is to extend my house coverage ( trying not to use any wall plugs or extender) coz my current dlink 850L is quite sucky. Router currently in living room at the bottom of tv cabinet shelf

If you want local warranty and support, you can consider the TP-Link Archer C3150.

Comes with the exact same chipset and perform similarly as well.

It just don't come with that much features like ASUSWRT and high end TP-Link routers have pretty decent firmware unlike their cheaper ones.
*
I wan to have better coverage in my house, would the archer c5400 be a better option other than c3150?don't really need the extra 5ghz band though

Don't play play I tell you... My ASUS RT-AC88U has been sent to kilang 2 times in 2 years. (Luckily 3 years warranty) First time, they couldn't find the problem and gave me a Singapore version RT-AC88U. This 2nd one had 2 ports that died not long after and the 5Ghz band stopped working. They also couldn't find out the problem and sent back an RT-AC5300... drool.gif  So far the Asus RT-AC5300 is going strong but I now only have 4 ports instead of 8 on the RT-AC88U. But I consider it an upgrade since a 5-port switch wouldn't cost as much as the difference in price of these 2 routers  flex.gif

Conclusion: Warranty is VERY important...  notworthy.gif
*
Wow bro, dunno u are unlucky or lucky haha. How's the warranty claim ? Need to wait long for the replacement? How's the ac5300 coverage compared to the ac88u?
