QUOTE(anfieldude @ Sep 7 2018, 07:36 AM) Does ur network properties on ur laptop/pc show a gigabit negotiated connection to the router? hi, my lan it shows 1 Gbps though. meaning should be gigabit connection already. BTU to my router is cat 5e. my lan also using cat5e.I hv a Asus AC68U router and a 100Mbps line. Initially I used to get 94-95Mbps during speedtest and took as as a TM issue as everyone said that it was normal speeds for 100Mbps. At some point I realized that my laptop did not show a negotiated gigabit connection even though all my cables were labelled cat5e. Changing 2 cables, one between the BTU to the router and one from router to laptop allowed gigabit negotiation. Speeds jumped to 104-105Mbps. It's pretty repeatable if I change the cable back to the one that does not seem to be up to the cat5e mark. |
