My experience with Maxis, about 2 years ago, was that I had tons of unexplained issues with PSN. Just kept getting disconnected. Their BTU is exactly the same as the ones from TM. Only their router is crap, a N only wifi, with LAN ports limited to 100Mbps. Only the WAN is Gbps capable. I believe it was the Technicolor TG784n v3. Can't remember other issues, guess it was either none or insignificant. Never tried torrent.

I junked Maxis soon after, and after switching to Unifi and using it for the pass over 2 years, it has been good with zero issues on PSN.

Sharing my experience using UnifiTV.

I've cancelled my Astro after getting UnifiTV. I have the Ultimate package and so it gives me all the channels, which includes sports. It more than fulfills my needs. You can always peruse Unifi's website details on the available channels before making decision.

As for the Android/STB, it's functional, 99% of the time. The 1% is for those occasions when there were some hiccups that needed rebooting the STB or contacting Unifi CS. Overall, I'm satisfied.
