Are you previously upgraded from 10Mbps? If yes, then it's already locked in 100Mbps TURBO...
Otherwise it's your cable is NOT CAT-5e/CAT-6? or OLDER modem of BTU/Router?
Which also can caused you UP TO 100Mbps ONLY instead of 500Mbps.

This figure looks like using Fast-Ethernet LAN port. tongue.gif

rclxs0.gif Very true mate..

Understand quite a lot people received Nokia ONU as a replacement. Does it act as a router or modem? Can it support POE.

I might request them to change it, if all credential possible to configure in optical modem over router. Easily for me to manage ubiquiti AP router
*
Replacement for what? It is just a replacement for Alcatel Lucent ONU due to Nokia buy in, can say is 1-to-1 brand name change only. tongue.gif

Replacement of faulty unit?? Anyway it's depend on the exchange be able to support only. I heard from some FT, some of the locations only support huawei or ericsson.

It depend on OLT you're connected with. Yes, it only for area using Alcatel Lucent OLT.

I understand that. However it is TDM based so in GPON Line Profile, each ONU will end up having a time slot that is so small it limit throughput for each ONU even though the fiber is not utilized.

For PON infrastructure, concurrent transmission is not possible because all ONU in the same splitter (OLT port) transmit on the same wavelength, causing frame corruption, hence the TDM design where everyone wait for their configured time slot
*
This has been happening since day 1, so? It happened to be so fast, no big issue for home users anyway.

QUOTE(kwss @ Aug 17 2018, 11:44 PM)
Let's say each splitter connect 32 ONU, each will have 80Mbps.
However, because not everyone sign up 100Mbps, the GPON Line Profile can configure each ONU to have the required subscription speed.

With 10x speed upgrade, even at 100mbps for each ONU, each TDM time slot can only run at 25.6mbps.

Yes I know Wifi, LTE runs on time slot too. However in PON they are fixed interval and must to be provisioned.

Let's say your area is congested, the congestion is upstream in the BNG or metro-e switch (the GPON doesn't congest because time slot is provisioned). What I am describing in the GPON limitation itself
*
It maybe a problem for very congested housing area but most people who used Unifi not because they wanted, is they must use due to this is the only option. So before upgrade and after upgrade their still don't heavily use it. Maybe the OLT only used by 1 or 2 heavy users.
At least when I used 100Mbps plan last time, the speed is always consistent. ๐Ÿ˜

Hello guys, upgrade aside, may I know are there ways to disable the unifi phone or make it unusable when telephone cable inserted to the phonejack? I tried changing the vlan 400 to some other number but that does not work. Or is there ways to at least disable outgoing calls? I know this request is weard, but reason being that I am sharing acc & do not want housemates to plug in and use phone. Hope sifu here can give direction.

Tq vm.

Call 100. Can ask them to ban all outgoing call for your phone number.

Which unifi plan are you currently on? If less than 100 Mbps, can apply Maxis 30 Mbps. Just tell Maxis you have unifi at home will do.

Tell Maxis you have unifi and still in contract, they will reimburse you.
