Are u using the rombuscake to check? I dont think it is a safe website cause it is a third party website, and u need toprovide ur info like IC to check the speed upgrade. Therefore, im not very recommend myself to do it. I just wait for my turbo letter or SMS to come thumbsup.gif

Why my 500 mbps turbo upgrade only get about 97- 99 mbps? Never hit hundread. All ethernet cable are using the ProLink Cat 5E 26 AWG cable. All are capable for 1 gbit connection (checked at the control panel). Motherboard supports gigabit connection (showed 1.0 gbit). Router DIR-850L supports gigabit. ONU Huawei HG8240W support gigabit networking. So what is the problem now ? Is TM capped my speed or my nearby infrastructure only support max 100 mbps?

Sometimes i play csgo also suffer some packet loss after the turbo upgrade.

I m FTTH user

you sure your hardware like network card or desktop/notebook/handphone wifi support such speed? check again. icon_idea.gif  the settings.

I really checked info from all the motherboard website, chipset website, router website, cable website and all stated there 1 gbit capable. I think the ONU WAN port set to 100mbps, but i have no idea how to access it. I started to do all the research when tm annouced the turbo upgrade 😅

I have reached out TM Care after speed still capped at 100 Mbps despite account have been upgraded to 800 Mbps. They said it is still in "pilot phase" and just keep monitoring the speed until further notice, as of now the package would be the initial package before the upgrade.

Seems like to have to wait a little longer
*
Me too last night i asked them via live chat same answer . " We are now piloting the turbo upgrades to selected existing Unifi customer to the new high speeds of 100Mbps, 300Mbps, 500 Mbps and 800MBps.This is to allow us time to enhance the process before the mass roll-out.We will keep you updated once this pilot phase is completed and when we are ready roll out to our existing customers nationwide." - from tm live chat staff doh.gif

I think something is wrong somewhere. Maybe it's the cable or PC settings. I did a speed test using wireless on my PC and I can get around 300mbps (can't max cuz hardware limitation) but when I used cable, it was capped 100mbps. I never did troubleshooting because my cable is 10 years old and I suspected that might be the caused of the problem (busy Monster Huntering  brows.gif )

Will buy a Cat6 cable on the coming weekend to test.

Really not cause my my router or what network equipment , just tm problem causing it. I also do like u before keep checking the equipment , keep asking others, and still cant fix it

Sounds like you got a hardware bottleneck. Check your PC's ethernet connection.

Ctrl Panel > All Control Panel Items > Network Connections.

Double click your Ethernet icon and the Ethernet Status should pop up. If your LAN port is gigabit, the speed should say 1 Gbps or 1000 Mbps.
*
It is really 1.0gbit. I checked with this way to all my ethernet cable. brows.gif

download ramdisk , use ur ram on ur pc as storage . sure wont bottlenect cause ram can handle up to 17GB/s bandwidth, but it will lost all the data once u shutdown or restart. But i don think u need what ssd and any fast storage like m.2 or nvme, because when u using the speedtest.net it is not really download a file to test ur internet speed which will affected by ur hard drive rpm or bandwidth. It is just like download a file to u RAM virtually only, and this is why google chrome keeps using many ram because it downloads many resources from the website and cache it on ur ram .

* You only need the ramdisk if u like need to achieve 10 gbit file transfer speed when you have a server -graded pc or sharing big files (100gig) like 8k recording footage(raw, uncompressed).

Just be patient la , many of us including me having the problem which tm not giving the full speed after turbo-ed. It is because they are on pilot phase, which mean they just testing before giving the turbo upgrade to all malaysians. Maybe they want to see whether now infrastructure can handle such speed first, before wasting any money to upgrade their infra. Poor tm doh.gif

Got my upgrade since 3 days ago and just noticed it after a router restart. No notifications no nothing. Did a speed test and got exactly what Unifi said - http://speedtest.net/result/7601527561

But on IDM, I only got 30MB/s max. So, I think 500mbps is really not necessary.

Any idea how to downgrade to Unifi Lite? If I downgrade today, do I entitle to 100mbps upgrade?
