fuuu. i still didnt get any upgrade email. im on landed ( FTTH) in shah alam.

now im on 50mbps rm179, thinking to downgrade to 100mbps rm129
the only thing i need to think is the unifiTV stb as i currently use it on TV.

if i choose 100mbps rm129, based on their plan, they will only give me access unifi tv dia apps instead of the stb. so mean they will disabled my IPTV access ?

then i need pay another rm30 just for unifi tv, which bring the cost to rm159. save rm20 permonth , 100mbps vs 50mbps( 500mbps when turboed)

this evening, mine also got turbo upgraded
from 50mbps to 500mbps.
but seem my phone not able to get, only max at 300mbps
ipad around 200++mbps
test with my nvidia shield, can get 500mbps( wired)

i know i got wifi issue with my router. and i didnt ask any question btw

mine is C1200 v1. can hit 500mbps on LAN. ( cos im on 500mbps turbo)
on wifi 5ghz, around 250-300mbps only ( tried with 1 xiaomi phone and 1 ipad), didnt try on my High power USB AC wifi adapter yet.

using latest firmware my tplink for unifi.

seem like i cant fully utilize this 500mbps even tho i frequent movie downloader. download movie in less than 5mintes then it went idle


im thinking to downgrade 100mbps / rm129 + rm30 for unifiTV. izit the unifiTV is fully package ?

100mbps / rm129 is normal package. every1 can have it and its not turbo package.

u just need change package but it will renew contract to 2years.

yes if u compared from 10mbps to 100mbps.
its from unifi lite last time but now the name change to unifi pro.
but its diff since any1 can sub to this package yet cant for those turbo 300/500/800mbps.

correct. this what my brother experienced when moved to new house.
after upgrade to new speed + new contract, then he moved to new house which dont hv unifi n streamyx. then no need to pay penalty. just terminated without any fee.

now im on 500mbps turbo package rm179( no more contract) want to change to 100mbps rm129 plan.

i did ask the live chat
- still can use current STB box to watch on TV
- contract will be renewed , include those off contract or still on contract
- no new devices will be given if u are existing unifi subcriber unless the old devices didnt support the 100mbps speed. new subscriber will getting all new equipment for free.

the only things i dont like is that even i off contract now, TM wont give me new wifi router even thou im playing same price as the new subscriber.
those equipments ( wifi + dect phone) price around rm300-500.
kinda not fair since i will paying same price as new subscriber and getting contract renew but i didnt get new devices, no device warranty.

any1 here upgrade to 100mbps / rm129 plan and getting new devices ?

i can terminate, just wondering when apply new 1, does the port still available or not.
cos i hv experience it before, terminate, then apply new 1 but cant since my previous port already taken by my neighbour and nothing can be done, just wait until my other neighrbour terminate.

so i mybe need to check with them first. but still not 100% secure.

should be can. the new plan just didnt provide STB only, mybe due they dont hv any new stock right now

yes, this might be my last choice of getting this plan with new devices. altho still stuck with same 4years STB

yes, based on my livechat with them, they will provide new router if current 1 not supported.

yeah, my BTU is 4years old alcatel, which quite nice since still able to support 500mbps.

mine already turbo 500mbps.. but overkill for me even tho im frequent movie downloader.
100mbps already enough for me

i see ur package stated 100mbps (STB) .. mean ur is rm159 with ultimate pack ? cos this plan will give u STB

next time show them the FAQ on their website.
not all staff know whatever product they hv seriusly.

the FAQ did mentioned can use existing STB to watch on TV if u r existing plan with STB.

could be. im using RGX4400 before and this router got problem with ipv6.
and if i remember, the LAN port sometimes show as gigabit, sometime just 100mbps.
and the spec sheets did show it only 10/100mbps ports, which dont support gigabit

ur situation same as mine but i already get the turbo.

its depend on ur usage. do u need those 500mbps and do ur devices support that speed ?

even i as frequent downloader ( games + movies), 100mbps just enough for me.
plus my wifi on AC dual band only support up to 300mbps, but can get 500mbps on LAN ( which only connect to my PC and NAS)
and the internet only shared between me and my wife, so 100mbps more than enough.

extra money can be use for other things
