Advance 50Mbps (VDSL) + Varnam Plus Pack (RM30) + STD 20 = RM249....... vmad.gif
What TM will do...price cut...or......G.Fast..?
*
RM249 for that !!! better go to TM Point ask them if they can give you some discount. Another way is remove the STD 20, save money on that

Disable the LCD & run the speedtest

QUOTE(CZero @ Sep 3 2018, 10:36 PM)
Got mine turboed to 800Mbps, but the Speedtest only get me this much.

[attachmentid=10007250]
I run my test by plugging in the Cat6 cable from the Miktrotik router to the following devices.

1. desktop
2. late 2013 macbook via thunderbolt to rj45

the max both devices can get is around 200mbps both upload and download.

While obviously we do need to upgrade our aging Mikrotik RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN and get something that has 802.11ac, is there a case where they need to come and replace the BTU?

And one more thing, anyone on 800Mbps turbo can recommend us a router? We were mainly on wired connection, fyi. Thank you.
EDIT : my username started with C, im staying near taman equine, and I think it got turboed this evening.

Got the turbo 800Mbps upgrade today. Area Setiawangsa. The speedtest are not consistent, maybe the speedtest server run out of bandwidth.

Test using :
Huawei HG8240w
Mikrotik RB1100AHx2
Cat6 LAN cable
1x PC i7, Gigabit LAN
1x Laptop i5, Gigabit LAN

SilentVampire Thanks for the information. Mine is the stock firmware 1.0.0 Build 20161115 rel.42795 (EU). The 1st day I got it for free from TM last year during the "Thank you surprise upgrade". Didn't update coz I am using it as an AP.

mine upgraded to 800Mbps but my speed is around 200Mbps only... anyone experience same issue?

To narrow down the problems. Please list down your equipment modem, wireless router, wired & wireless connection. Laptop, PC, smartphone NIC specs.

1st thing to do is check all the network cables are Cat 5e , best Cat 6/7.

Price is tempting, but well known issue, already stated in the first page.

Setup as an AP is fine. I have been using if for 1 year with no problem.

The main router must support Gigabit port in order to enjoy the new "Turbo"

QUOTE(cwk0713 @ Sep 10 2018, 03:48 PM)
But if my Tenda router not supported, setting this as AP still won't get more than 100mbps right? (Don't really know how AP work)

StuartLee2015 Asus RT-N12HP ver B1. WAN & LAN ports are FE 10/100Mbps. The LAN speed are limited to 100Mbps. Wireless 2.4GHz have too much interference. You are lucky if you can get 50Mbps+ on 2.4GHz wifi

StuartLee2015 300Mbps is for the wi-fi only. The source of the internet is WAN port max at 100Mbps

How you calculate?

fruitie , StuartLee2015 got it confused with Mbps & MBps. With his current setup he won't exceed 100Mbps
