I am in high rise with copper.

Wish to get the new Unifi advance plan with 30Mbps.

So obviously we are not able to upgrade to 300Mbps as promised.

So will our bill of rm139 be reduced to half at the very least, since our speed is 10 times lower?

Up to you, but you will be getting the upgrade. In terms of stability, Maxis sucks. I was from Maxis, and I would never go back unless I have to. My speed was constantly throttled and using P2P was a bitch, plus if you are using infra from TM, and something screws up, good luck in getting TM technicians to come in time to repair anything. Not sure if they changed now, but I wouldn’t go back.

I am on Maxis 10Mbps now, will go for new rm89 30Mbps.

I wish to go for Unifi, but price wise, not viable.

Furthermore, I stay in high rise with copper, not able to enjoy those turbo upgrade.

As for service, yes, if it's TM problem, you've to wait like hell. Was without internet for 17 days, waiting for TM guy,

But most of the time, the source of problem is from TM contractor who pulled out my port connection and give it to new Unifi user(because the TM contractor rushing to do as many new case as possible and do not want to wait TM to open the port).

So we maxis user end up being a victim of this bloody TM contractor.

So whose fault in the first place?

So envy you guys, talking about 800Mbps, while people living in high rise like me using copper can only get up to 50Mbps.

I noticed the new govt has been quiet on the infrastructure upgrade, and promising to turbo upgrade is only benefiting certain group.

Gobind, wake up please, do not be short-sighted, we need infra upgrade as well

Nothing TM, TIME or Government can do. Your choice is to complain to condo management and hold a JMB agenda to upgrade condo infrastructure to fiber.

If like that you wait long2 la, will never happened in this Malaysia Boleh or Malaysia Baharu

Need to be forced like what the ministry done to TM, Maxis, etc

Done that.
All the while I am using Google DNS. I removed Google DNS in both my router and Windows network setting using TM ISP DNS server also same issue, put back Google DNS address also same issue.
IP starting with 42.189.
Default Gateway for the IP is 42.189.255.254.
*
Is this happening frequently?

Got this problem very frequent during my streamyx days

Now on Maxis Ftth very rare

Aiyo, if very frequent, then I have to think twice whether I want to jump ship to unifi

This is more about their server issue, I kena kaw2 in my streamyx days, and no one can help, live with it for months!

Dealer can't help you unless you signup new line, otherwise must go TMpoint.

30Mbps and 100Mbps only will be ready in next week, maybe 50Mbps next month? icon_idea.gif
sialz, I also on 42.xxx it's webe ip range...
Solved with 8.8.8.8 and 1.9.1.9, not interested with OpenDNS as that was too slow...
*
Myself new line la, now on Maxis Ftth

If wait next month for 50Mbps then sorry la, once maxis call me to upgrade for 30Mbps @rm89, I'll have to do it

But I am on high rise, I was told Unifi can only accept 30Mbps for high rise

I stay 1st floor, if I insist getting the 50Mbps but ok if only can achieve 30Mbps, can Unifi accept me for the 50Mbps package ah?

new high-rise apartments/condos should have fibre infrastructure, so high speed should not be an issue.

only for old one, which they probably only have VDSL then it has the limitation.

Myself old one copper la, if not I ask for what

Why do you need to pay the price for 50mbps when only can get 30mbps? If the roomers are true, Unifi 50mbps is RM89, whereas Maxis 30mbps is RM89. You can upgrade to Maxis 30mbps starting 13th Sep already.
*
Should be able to get max 50Mbps, but Unifi not dare to commit

13/9, wait long2 lah stupid maxshit

I registered immediately on 20/8, my friend registered later, he got the call and changes his router d

Myself until now no one call, pukimak maxshit

Last come first serve, pukimak

Not likely, as your line will be very unstable, and you will have frequent disconnections.
*
So in my case, better to get 30Mbps instead of 50Mbps(if available)?

Will the 50Mbps package get up to 44Mbps as shown?

I am doing some testing on my vdsl syn rate to determine if my high rise copper can handle 50Mbps.

As seen in the photo, my existing setup is I pull a cable from the original phone port at my living room to my bedroom, which may cause lots of noise.

So I move my equipment to the main phone port at my living room for testing. However, the DSL light of the TM modem not light up, so no connection and not able to check the Vdsl sync rate.

I am planning to move the new installation to the main phone port at living room.

Based on my current setup, if I move the equipment over to main phone port at living room, the modem DSL should be able to light up, right? Or I need to pull the connecting cable to the bedroom(on the main phone port as shown in the attached photo) out first? I am confused. Sorry silly question, but I really have no idea about this stuff.

If the modem DSL should light up without having to pull the connecting cable out, then what is wrong with my main phone port? Is it something wrong?

Any news on 50Mbps @ rm99 package?

Rumour only?

How high is the percentage it'll happen?

If available, when?

Need to decide soon or else I'll go for maxis 30Mbps @ rm89
