Penang area esp island from my observation has quite a big presence of time isp... for eg in jelutong can have condo tm dont even bother to cover unifi even though the condo mdf room like super big, used as landing point for tm, time, redtone and other mobile data isp with good dark fibre access. Why? Cos time covered that condo alr.. Tm proceeded to just cover the ground and 1st floor shop house units instead.
So i highly doubt turbo will happen in penang for anytime soon..

Guys the turbo is random, no point speculating account no, location etc. Meanwhile, chrischiang and samkian after a long day trying to find out, make sure you download the correct app in iOS. it is at this link:

It can. It works with unifi (vlan 500) and hypptv (600) and also additional phone lines (400) ootb. I haven’t really tested it as a router. I got one a few months ago and it works fine with unifi 100 but sold it off after a few days so no chance to test it in depth. The WiFi is quite good. It’ll work awesome as an AP. Look for the fg7008gr thread, I posted a few results there.

I ordered one during 9/9 so will do more tests on it. Maybe run it as my main router for a few weeks to see how it fares. I’m still waiting for my turbo upgrade so won’t be able to say how it handles 500 or 800 yet. Singtel gives this router for their 1Gbps service so I think it should be ok.

If you want cheap and have friends or relatives in SG, you can get this as low as SGD20 used.
