QUOTE(soonwai @ Aug 16 2018, 03:38 PM) No, they won't but DIR-850L will be able to support 500Mbps. @soonwai, On another note, ur old thread in RGX4400 initially identified the LAN as 100Mbps but there was a question whether it was gigabit LAN. I'm seeing a gigabit negotiation at least from my laptop. Did u ever get round to confirming that it's indeed gigabit LAN? Edit...I am not using the RGX4400 as a router but hv converted it as a switch as I got an Asus AC68U as my main router. This post has been edited by anfieldude: Aug 16 2018, 04:46 PM

QUOTE(soonwai @ Aug 16 2018, 05:29 PM) I'm not 100% sure. t I've long suspected that it's gigabit even though the manual states that it's 100Mbps. I guess since you have it, you can confirm for us. I would need another gigabit device to do this. Will confirm here if possible.

I guess since you have it, you can confirm for us. @soonwai, I tested the Innatech RGX4400H LAN to LAN speeds via iperf last night. MacBook Air 13 via thunderbolt to gigabit adapter to Alienware 15 LAN port ( via additional 2 gigabit TPLink switches as they were physically 2 locations - possibly about 70-80m of Cat5e cabling between the 2 computers or more) and I can confirm that the average speeds were ~ 720Mbits/s. Max speeds were close to 800Mbps. So it's definitely gigabit LAN ports. I will post this also in ur other RGX 4400H thread in case the question comes up.

QUOTE(youngy @ Aug 24 2018, 01:26 PM) What cable are you using? Cat5e cable capped at 100mbps. This is not true. Cat5e can cater 1000Mbps depending on length. This post has been edited by anfieldude: Aug 24 2018, 01:34 PM

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Aug 24 2018, 02:09 PM) However there are some poorly-made CAT5e cables (copper-clad ones) that may not do that This I agree with. I hv a short 2m can cable that is labelled as cat5e but does not pass 100Mbps. But a longer 50m one that does...it's possible that the cable is not terminated correctly or is just bad.

QUOTE(Xefron @ Sep 6 2018, 08:50 AM) TM needs to allow existing customer to upgrade/downgrade to this RM129 100Mbps plan without changing port ! I hope they consolidate their pricing once and for all for everyone. It's a pain to be an early adopter of the 100Mbps and paying almost double of whats being offered now. I'm out of contract so it's good to hv options and I guess will need to decide if I should test the 800Mbps and decide. However, sadly my upgrade is only slated for 2019. Ironic...

QUOTE(tommyfai @ Sep 7 2018, 07:14 AM) hi yea i using lan 5E cable to test , still 100 mbps though. BTU is huawei HG8240 and tp-link ac1000. any more settings to check Does ur network properties on ur laptop/pc show a gigabit negotiated connection to the router? I hv a Asus AC68U router and a 100Mbps line. Initially I used to get 94-95Mbps during speedtest and took as as a TM issue as everyone said that it was normal speeds for 100Mbps. At some point I realized that my laptop did not show a negotiated gigabit connection even though all my cables were labelled cat5e. Changing 2 cables, one between the BTU to the router and one from router to laptop allowed gigabit negotiation. Speeds jumped to 104-105Mbps. It's pretty repeatable if I change the cable back to the one that does not seem to be up to the cat5e mark.
