I'm using previous 30Mbps@RM189 package and my contract has expired. Thinking of upgrade to 50Mbps@RM99 package. What is the meaning of no stb box? Do i need to return my existing stb or just ignore the no stb part?

IF they need me to return my stb, what is the alternative that i should purchase for watching unifi tv?

Thanks

Livechat said can but might charge you RM200 downgrade fee if opt for 30Mbps RM79+30 (Unofficial) for unlimited quota.

Better upgrade to RM129 100Mbps or RM99 50Mbps (Unofficial)

All these NEW plan NO MORE eligible for 10x TURBO!! and contract will renew also. You also need go TMpoint urself after next week (System no update yet)

so i can't go to tm point during the weekend to do the upgrade? was plannign to go tonight / tomorrow for the 50Mbps@RM99 package though

IINM, u can retain ur STB since contract is over. But no STB package means, u cant use the Unifi tv on ur STB. Only can use PlayTV app on the STB.

i don't understand this part. correct me if im wrong, no STB package means i can't watch tv programs through my TV? i can only watch it through my phone?

You still can use android box watch,no stb mean no free gave you stb and bcz stb use another bandwitch internet ,maybe there dont gave you that stb bandwitch lol, like you 100Mbps package, internet is 100 and gave you more like 24Mb stb use only,so if no stb there gave you 100Mbps only

i see.... understand now. then i dont need the stb, just use my tv's android app to watch it then. hope my elders ok with the change. able to save additional 30 per month.

After about two weeks with Turbo 800, these are several findings that I hope would assist you guys in making decision:

1. Turbo 800 is best suit for those who really do downloads, with the download rate of 90-100MB/sec you'll be able to download
    1GB in 10 seconds
    25GB in 4 minutes
    100GB in 17 minutes
    1TB needs around 3 hours

2. Youtube streaming straight away will go 4K quality if you use 4K TVs (without previously need to choose quality). The videos are instantly played and you could just jump to any part of the videos without any buffering.

3. Website surfing? As expected, the pages just pop up very quick and for locals one near instant, provided you computer are high end with abundant of RAMs.

4. IPTV streaming like the one I currently subscribe to European server loads very fast and immediately choose Full HD (1920 x 1080) quality. I just wish they offer 4K IPTV. No buffering with IPTV.

5. However all these only possible with gigabit router and ethernet/wireless cards. Otherwise you won't really enjoy these Turbo 800 capability.

For me, it's overkill as I mainly just streaming nowadays and only occasionally do downloads. I'm still waiting for TM to announce new packages for 300 and 500Mbps as I think these packages are more suit to my needs.

But till then, I'll just enjoy this Turbo 800  cool2.gif

the reason i'm sticking to <100Mbps package. existing using 50Mbps

1) besides downloading games in steam, i have nothing to download. everything can be steam at 1080 which is more than sufficient for me.

2) same as 1, 1080 is more than enough. my eye is not tat good.

3) lousy 5 years old pc with no plan to upgrade in coming 5 years. but pages still pop up wtihin 2 second, which is acceptable for me.

4) same as 2.

5) default unifi router can support up to 100Mbps right?

unifi 50 pacakage is dumb without free 600min calls, if add that +RM20 = it become within RM10 to 100mbps pacakge. That is Stupid. Would have been fine if they include free calls like 100mbps but at RM99 price.

i think the package is fine for most people. to be honest, how much do you value the 600 minutes when everyone have handphone? heck, i even disconnect my dect phone to save power.

Hi guys, just changed to the 100Mbps@rm128 package yesterday. However the speedtest shows that both my DL & UP is 50Mbps.

Need help to figure out the problem, had read the first page but still not sure which part go wrong since all equipment can support till 100Mbps.

BTU: ONU-ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G
ROUTER: RG-MARITIME-TRG212M
PC'S RECEIVER: TP-LINK'S TL-WN727N rated for 150Mbps

which of the equipment is the culprit that causing me not receiving 100Mbps? don't have a data cable to test the real speed :/
