Anyone in PJ SS1/ Kampung Tunku got turbo-ed yet? 30mbps to 300, anyone? :/

I live in Kampung Tunku, still can't get smh. Old customers are trash to them, been with them for 6 years and paying 169 a month.

Hi guys, I want to ask about my setup to see whether it would be sufficient enough for 300MBPS turbo upgrade down the road.
Currently I have Alcatel Lucent I-240G-P as the BTU and Linksys EA7500v2 as the main router. The WAN for the router connected to BTU is verified as gigabit ethernet. Anything else I need to worry about other than 5Ghz coverage downstairs (router is placed in my room which is the very corner of the house)? Thanks

Well glad to hear that, the other option I have to relocate the router to upstairs living room but sure couldn't help much for 5Ghz coverage. If I relocate there, my PC also won't get ethernet, which is worse.
So the rest of the family will be using 2.4 and I will use 5 rclxms.gif
Not for no reason of course, if I let them into 5Ghz band, they would have to manually switch network every time they get around the house. Troublesome for them and me to hear their complains

Hi guys, i would like to know if anyone has luck trying to reduce the RM 169 VIP10 promo (when it was 199, then eventually upgraded to Advance 30) to lower price? It isnt fair because 30mbps for 169 is more expensive than most 30mbps users. Screwed by TM, didnt receive any call after this.

In that case, I don't want Turbo anymore.

So she tried to counter off me to stay with my current plan and first thing first that she said, "Kalau cik dapat Turbo dalam 2 minggu, cik boleh tunggu tak?" I asked her back, isn't it by location or something, she said she can put in request.

Well, eventually I failed to get RM 30 discount but I got RM 10 discount which is RM 179 and Turbo upgrade in 2 weeks time.

Whether it will happen or not, only TM will know. If it doesn't happen in two weeks time, I will go back and look for her since she said I can look for her.

Can get discount ah? Currently I’m paying 169 for 300mbps but many here paying 189 for 800 which is a very good price

Might not, looks like its throttled. Like once it hits 50mbps, it will bounce back. Like your engine rpm bounce back once red lined.
