QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Sep 6 2018, 05:50 PM) Congrats, time to upgrade your router, see 1st page, 1st post, green text, for compatible routers and more info. Any chance on putting some PCIe Wireless Adapter models on the front page? and maybe some of it's pros & cons over USB Wireless Adapter hehe. It'll be helpful |

QUOTE(Dozz @ Sep 6 2018, 05:56 PM) I'm surprised to see mobile device (such as galaxy s9) WiFi speed is actually faster than what many people thought. How close were you to the router? Now I'm tempted to test it on my Samsung S7 Edge when I get back home This post has been edited by latios507: Sep 6 2018, 05:59 PM |

It'll be helpful Yep, will do that when I have the time, but not many models in the market. If you want PCIe wireless adapter, I suggest the Asus PCE-88.QUOTE(Dozz @ Sep 6 2018, 05:56 PM) I'm surprised to see mobile device (such as galaxy s9) WiFi speed is actually faster than what many people thought. No surprises. Galaxy S9 has 4x4 MIMO, so it can theoretically support up to 2.1Gbps on 5GHz AC. |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Sep 6 2018, 05:47 PM) Not overkill at all. I am using it and my wife’s parents house are using it as well, and it is a very good and stable router, with built in antivirus, and IPS, and the wireless range is superb. Highly recommend it and you will definitely enjoy it. Don’t bother with switching the IPv6 on though, as IPv6 here is not really optimized yet. Is this the one you all r referring to?https://www.lazada.com.my/products/tp-link-...4.html?search=1 |
