![]() anyone got turbo while still using this old modem? i think this is why my order got cancelled 2 times. In my understanding this can only handle max 100mbps right? this to change need to go tmpoint or have to buy other unifi compatible modem? edit: im on 50mbps, expecting to be upgraded to 500mbps. kampung pandan dalam area This post has been edited by ssxxcool: Sep 12 2018, 09:33 PM |

QUOTE(zainuddin80 @ Sep 12 2018, 09:39 PM) Hi, my plan was upgraded from 50mbps to 500 mbps. I’m using this old ONU, same like you and Asus Router. I only got maximum speed 300mbps so far, with cat5e cable direct from asusu router to my PC QUOTE(ahlek @ Sep 12 2018, 09:40 PM) oh ok ty, glad my modem not the cause of cancelled order. |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Sep 13 2018, 07:43 PM) Nope, they are not in your housing area, and they are not attacking your wireless network. All these attacks are targeted to your router from WAN, and you can’t avoid it. You just know about this lol? Our routers are constantly being scanned for exploits and back door access. I have been into many old routers using default credentials. i duno le im not computer expert lulAnyway, I would suggest you update the firmware in your router, and leave that AiProtection feature on. No good router for sure. You either get the TP-Link AC1200, oR the DIR-850L, or the DIR-842. Just get your own router if you want something good. |

I alrdy got my turbo this morning, order modify shows completed at 9.34am. I'm at 500mbps
Using asus ac86ui , 2bar 5ghz at my upstairs desktop, archer t9e WiFi card gets me 300-320mbps. Speed test on note 9 also gets me around the same range. Weirdly on lan, using my gaming laptop I get 100mbps only. Will try again later No changes in billing, no discount rm10 Area kampung pandan dalam |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Sep 16 2018, 01:27 PM) RJ45 is the technical term for Ethernet. Cat 7 should be more than enough, and it could be a setting on your router or PC that is limiting the speed. so i use other laptop and tried speedtest again using ethernet and got ~300mbps (suppose to get 500), same like my previous wifi test.seems like tm is limiting my speed for their "pilot phase". well, its good enough for now, youtube 4k not buffering at all. maybe later this month still cant reach full speed, then i'll complain to tm. thanks for the help |
