Change it to one of the modern routers I have on the list. The L7 Networks router is very old and is EOL and no longer supporte, plus it is using very old wireless standards, and not even N, only b & g, which means it only supports up to 54Mbps on wireless. Get something modern and you will see a huge difference.

Yes, but you will need your PPPoE username and password. You can get that from TM and then just enter the credentials on the new router. Make sure your BTU supports gigabit speeds too.

My BTU is Huawei EchoLife HG850a .

Nope, it’ll need some settings. You need to know at least your unifi username & password at least. I think you can call 100 for this info

Yes, that supports gigabit. Refer to the 1st post, 1st page, green text, and see the list of compatible routers, and good luck.

My bad. I misread your comment. I thought you meant yours is HG8240.

Yes, yours does not support gigabit. It supports only FE, up to 100Mbps.

Yes. You have to contact TM. Just wait until you are upgraded, then contact them.

Get TM to change it. HG850a's network ports are 100mbps. It's reliable though. I was using this since VIP5 days until my 100mbps upgrade when TM changed it.

But my BTU still works, dont know TM will change to me or not?

What speed are you on now? During last year's and early this year's 100mbps upgrades, TM was changing, for free, all FE BTUs to GbE BTUs. So anything 100mbps and up should get a new BTU with gigaports. But sometimes TM forgets.

My speed is 30Mbps.

The HG850a is good enough for 30mbps. Once you go to 300mbps, TM should change it for you. If they don't, just remind them. If something bad happens to the HG850a now, TM will also change it, most likely to the new GbE BTUs.
