Hi all,
Did anyone track their data usage?
I am just curious how much data everyone here uses.
Based on the annual average, I uses around 8GB per day

What program do you use to check Data usage? hmm.gif

Nope......wifi protocol efficiency issue.

With that 1Gbps PHY link speed, your MAC layer speed probably around 500 - 600Mbps.

I guess we need to wait for 802.11AX router then lol
Asus RT-AX88U Wow
802.11ax (2.4GHz) : up to 1148 Mbps
802.11ax (5GHz) : up to 4804 Mbps

I'm not a bro la. laugh.gif
We only got UniFi last year's May and I relocated my 50Mbps from PJ to Seremban. Then last year can upgrade to 100Mbps with additional RM 10. That said, it wasn't a smooth upgrade because my whole taman only our house was using 50Mbps (the rest were 30Mbps) and when they got order from my account to upgrade to 100Mbps, it was quite challenging for them. After two technical teams tweaking outside and inside of my house only got the speed I requested. shakehead.gif

I'm quite pessimistic same thing will happen to my 800Mbps later, should be the only one in taman having this speed. doh.gif

The one that I saw this wifi card. So u mean there is no way to reach 800mbps on this card using wifi since it is also 2x2. Any cheap good 3x3 card to rrecommend?
Thanks
*
Nope you cant with 2x2 wifi ac wifi card unless your have router that capable supporting 160Mhz Channel width which is rare,Another thing is 160Mhz may use all of 5Ghz AC channel(Depend is You Using Continuous 160Mhz Or 80+80Mhz)(So you may waste all of 802.11AC channel and create alot of Wifi CCI just to get gigabit speed) and your neighbour 802.11AC wifi speed will suffer and in some place its illegal to use 160Mhz CW More info here : http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/wi...dvisory.816318/
You need 3X3 wifi card to utilize 800Mbps which there is no Laptop Wifi card i see support it. So far there is 4X4 AC wifi card for desktop.

The LiFi you knew was prototype and now much better improved.
Even blocked by a walls, you still can surfing internet with LiFi.
and you will need a dongle to surfing internet 2-way, unless phone/notebook manufacturers adopt LiFi and built-it inside.
Also, you no need replace every bulb lights.

Advantages of LiFi, 100x faster than radio-waves WiFi and also safer.
Imagine that FBI and CIA was capturing your wifi packets when they was few hundred meters or kilometers, and hack into you internet REMOTELY.  (NOT theory but it's FACTS) tongue.gif
*
The only problem is then afternoon, sun may outshine your LiFi LED Bulb and decrease bandwidth unless you aim directly to the receiver or close all of neutral light.
currently there is a company called oledcomm produce Chipset and module which allow you to run LiFi on a standard LED bulb at speed of 3.2Mbps to max 30Mbps and there is also another company with Lifi AP and Receiver but there is not alot of infomation about it, To me LiFi technology is still not mature enough to be use,and i dont think it Going to be reliable compared to wifi right now

haha, it's still new stuffs under-developing which just like wifi 802.11b era, more time needed for stable and mature products in future.

Philips also real-life testing up to 100Mbps LiFi in physical office.
*
The only cool use i can think of is create Network Link(WAN) on hard to reach area and far away area using high power laser rclxm9.gif The only problem is other light source probably going to corrupt most of the packet lol sweat.gif

Hey guys, 100Mbps use here. I just found out that my speed is now 3Gbps?!!

What the heck is Premium Personal?
I thought 100Mbps suppose to get 800Mbps? Did they put the wrong plan for me or is the speed upgrade actually more?

Aiyo, this one confirms China CUT the cable off after Story Of Yanxi Palace quiz by Vietnam
*
they just done repair AAG on july 13 one month later broke again lol
QUOTE
Because of the expansion of Singapore Changi Airport, AAG cables had to be moved. This disruption was announced. The outage started on January 6, 2018 but the cable's capacity was back within a day. However, new faults were detected and a reconfiguration was carried out. The complete restoration of the undersea cable took much longer. It was only completed on January 23, 2018. These occasions of AAG disruptions are considered proactive disconnections. [29]

On May 22, 2018, AAG encountered a technical problem, affecting internet connections from Southeast Asia. Repair work began three days later. [30] AAG's connections were restored on June 3, but repair works were continuing until June 5. [31]

Less than 2 weeks after the repair, another incident occurred: AAG connections from Southeast Asia were disrupted again on June 16, prompting the online newspaper VnExpress to make this headline: "Disaster-prone cable drags internet in Vietnam again". It was unclear whether the disruption was caused by a cable breakage or a power leakage. [32] Repairs were completed on July 13, 2018, meaning the AAG cable was out for 4 weeks. [33]

The fourth breakdown of the AAG internet cable in 2018 occurred on August 23rd of that year, due to a power leakage at a point about 250 kilometers offshore the cable’s landing point in Vung Tau.

Currently using Thailand cheap and fast fiber internet, 100Mbps for around rm88... (For this price, you MIGHT get 30Mbps in Malaysia if you're damn lucky)

Malaysia still got a long ways to cathing up regional price range...
*
Meanwhile in south korea they have 1Gbps internet at price about RM130 with daily quota of 100GB whistling.gif (Capped to 100Mbps after finish quota)

Malaysians dont upload, thats our problem, and many ISP plans here are not limited by technology rather follow the greedy american ways of high downloads, slow uploads. We need to upload more and we need better upload speeds, than our internet will be cheaper as other countries will be paying us instead of us paying them.
