yes, my friend who's been paying 149 before because he's in TIME areas and he claims TM will give additional RM20 discount. But he's still waiting for the Turbo upgrade. Once he got it, he'll be paying 129 for 800Mbps

What I mean is re-config the BTU to make it able connect non-vlan support router . Is that possible ?

how to check if my speed is upgraded to turbo? i logged in to my unifi account and it says unifi 800mbps - turbo upgrade 2018 (last time was still thank you campaign 2017)

however my speeds are still the same (100mbps)

ok, so i think my laptop doesnt actually have a gigabit lan port LOL.
my pc is linked via a 5+ years ago powerline setup to the router. it's capped at 30mbps download.
i retried using my phone wifi 5ghz and it went up to 260mbps, so its definitely upgraded..

argh.. thing is i'll need to replace my powerline, my router, the wifi cards, lan cards for some older pcs

either this or downgrade

I saw many cat6 on lazada but isn't many are unshielded, which is utp???
i will buy 30m, should be "more than enough", i think this is the best path. Because there are other rooms at the left and right of my room and there are few corner before the cable can reach my room. If i put the cable above the door frame, my family sure will complain, and it will be ugly if go this way.

TM came and replaced my router with DIR842 with MU-MIMO.

Package is 500Mbps.

They tested with their thick Cat6 cable on their and mine devices and achieved 520+ Mbps.

They tested 2.4 Ghz and got about 170+ to 200+ Mbps.

And 5ghz above 200+ .
Now , I got 3 questions.

1. Does this router sufficient for the time being before I buy something better to ultilize 300Mbps and above on Wi-Fi?

2. How so no login to the Router? They set it up and now I forget to ask for the password. I found there's user password on the bottom, do they use that during set up?

3. They recommend me getting new Wi-Fi adapter with A.C and I have one in mind, DWA182, should be good for getting close to 500Mbps or DWA192?

Just being turbo-ed 2 days ago. Restarted the modem and on back after 10 minutes. But facing a weird issues here. Every time after restart the modem it works fine but the next day, it will back to the previous speed again, for me is 800 mbps back to 100 mbps.
Then if restart again will get back to the turbo-ed speed. Is this consider normal as I saw many are mentioned about the pilot phase for this turbo-ed plan.  Is anyone here facing the same issues also?

Have another question:
Never tried this setup before. If I connect my laptop directly to the BTU, I can immediately surf the net? Any setup required? (eg. need to enter username and password manually like in the router page)
