Guys/Gals, Just want to share so that you wont be conned again.

Reported this to D’addario since 17th may 2018 but they kept ignoring me. I have since switched to Elixirs and Ernie Ball. Too much fake D’addarios at the moment. DO NOT BUY D’ADDARIO STRINGS EVER!!

I have always only used D'addario strings on all my guitars since 2003 and this is my first time encountering buying counterfeit ones. This is both disappointing and frustrating.

I have attached the pictures below showing the SAME fake serial numbers on the exl120 and the fake serial numbers on the ez900.

Please do not buy D'addario again!

it's like saying, let's not use windows as there are pirated versions in the market. let's not buy zippo too. let's not buy gibsons and fenders as well as there are fakes in the market.

High E string snapped after only 5-6 times bending 2 half step up or down.

Rusty appearance fresh out of the packaging.

Doesn't sound as good as the original.

The fake packaging was so real you couldn't tell them apart from the original until you saw all the serial number are the same.

You wont understand the feeling until you have bought 7 sets of fake D'addario strings. The packaging was so real. Gibsons and fenders are easier to tell them apart from the fake ones. I'm okay if the packaging says AAA quality or copy version but this is not the case.

Check out my pictures, they're all the same serial numbers. First registered with http://www.daddario.com/PlayReal.Page?sid=...4b-15eff6c95eb0 and keyed in my serial number for the first time and it showed counterfeit version. D'addario have promised to get back to me on this but never did. Emailed the guy in HQ for 20 times but he say its another person who's in charge and never of from D'addario ever since then.

it's not like D'addario themselves promote the fake strings. so blaming them is like.... .

do you say, "don't buy fenders and gibsons, they are fakes in the market"? i'm sure you don't. same concept.

why are u not chasing the shop u bought from for a refund?

like what do u expect daddario to do by constantly contacting them? give u a refund? shut down that shop? all just a waste of urs and their time.

ur best option to get a refund is bring up with local tribunal court...

i buy classical guitar d'addario from Shopee for RM 3.00.
I know its fake but i just want to find the difference!

First of all the packaging is legit, same with the original one. But when it comes to the string, there is the problem.

The string 1,2 and 3 (From below) I cannot get it tune, no matter how much time i spend there. I've been trying to tune it for 3 days straight. It cannot stay in tune!

Worth buy la RM 3.00 hahahahaha

If buy from reputable guitar shop should be original.

I havent played guitar for many years. During MCO decided to take out my guitar again and get some new cheap (fake) Fender strings from Shoppee.

Doesnt feel any different from ori strings. My playing still sucks anyway whether using RM30 or RM3 per set strings... 😅
