All sifu,
Today went to quartz showroom to checked the latest package and i have placed a booking deposit as i really liked the unit that i booked. However, the sales agent informed me that due to their system delayed, the unit was taken by other buyers right after i placed my booking deposit and otw home.
I was pissed and want to cancel it. But he said the developer will still charge me RM 500 for the cancellation. Is there anyway i can do waive this RM 500?

your booking didnt take place hence your refund should be in full!!!!!

You didn’t even get a unit why need to pay cancellation fee? Talk to them nicely and if they won’t refund lodge a complain with KPDNKK they sure refund you one

Their system delayed its already their fault, now still wanna charge you? Lol

Take back that money whatever they say, this sort of case is mostly that unethical agent is trying to cheat your money

Happen to me before double booking. Full refund without any question and say sorry to me.

If they want to charge insist of same unit. See how the can resolve the problem.

Take charge.

Insist on the unit.

You must pretend you do not want to cancel.

If unable to get unit you booked, ask for compensation.

If the scenario is..

First you booked the Unit XX-XX-XX..

and sales man saiid system delayed and unit is taken..

by law... yes u can take back the booking without being charge..

This is similar to double booking, as so you can revert to developer then that agent sure kena fuxk 99.

The agent was given the wrong Form for me to signed. So they refund the full amount to me. The sales agent really x boleh and no ethic. Said the RM500 is charge by the bank for processing loans which is totally a lies. Then end up is saying by developer. Hope not the same property agent.

If you paid the booking fee and they officially accepted it, shouldn't they be apologising and shouldn't you be demanding compensation?

Mine case is another buyer just tentatively lock in but already 2 weeks yet to make final decision so available for booking during my visit.

I only know this after he call me for asking me to change my unit. I discuss further with the developer, then they told me, that the earlier buyer's bank loan approve on the same day i pay for booking fee.

I'm not sure is agent trying to cheat me in getting that unit incase the buyer loan fail or how. This is very unethical and they blaming to their booking system.

So is your booking form written that unit? I believe the deposit you made is for that particular unit. If they cant give you, means this is not your fault. You can complaint to the developer for appointing those unethical agency.

You can do that. And you can go there make noise on weekend especially during those launching date or what. Let many people know that you have such thing happen and make sure those thing dont happen to other peoples again. Its quite irritating when you cant buy the unit that you want. Unit facing is the major factor for us to buy a property.
