Saw some write up on the the Note 9 and which I thought aren't exactly new.

Note 8 could do this the day it was launched.

A new feature on the Galaxy Note 9 that makes the S Pen more obviously useful is off-screen memo. Pop the S Pen out of the Note 9 when the screen is off and it'll automatically launch a note-taking feature.
Any 3rd party USB-C to HDMI adapter can already do this.
DeX itself is easier to use on the Galaxy Note 9, as unlike on the Note 8 where a physical dock was required for it to work, this time round all you need is a simple HDMI dongle for the PC-like desktop experience.
