Yea they'll register the warranty on the spot for you. True, they'll cut the seal using penknife then power on the phone and activate the warranty. I asked if I can activate it myself and the guy said no.

The guy took my printed papers then search for the colour. Took out the phone box, cut the seal and power on to do an update. He took the sticker and warranty card and said he'll fill it in.

Not sure if it's better to do postage. Personally, I don't mind them switching on the phone to activate the warranty. Back then, they did the same for my pre-ordered Note 7 although different SES. So I guess, it's their SOP.

But mannn, what's the difference tho. I don't get anything extra from SES and if the phone can be powered on, on the spot then I'm all good

Btw, they didn't unseal the watch ya. Just the phone.
