let me see if i understand correctly. u r playing in frostmourne - alliance side, and u want to transfer faction?

Neutral AH only takes 10% I believe. So u are only losing 240 gold. And what is 240 gold when gold is so easily made thru gathering skills, selling quest green rewards and other junk you find in TBC.

BTW, your friends are in which guild? Shidavere? Sabotage?

Eh dude, ask ur frens on horde faction to check the prices of the mats u are buying first. I think those stuff sell for less in the horde AH on FM.
