Guys, is it worth keeping a 2008 Persona? Replaced the engine 5 years ago because the timing belt snapped. Now I replaced almost all the front suspension parts, costs me almost 2K already. It still drives wonderfully, sometimes the engine makes some funny noises, but other than that it's still okay with aircond sejuk gila.

Oof. That probably costs about RM1k at least? I got lucky last year when engine overheat, quickly went to workshop. Only need to replace radiator. A year before that blown head gasket... the feeling when I see exhaust air shooting out from the radiator cap is just horrifying. After that I always make sure to check coolant condition and level.

What's the average gas mileage for persona auto? Before this I always see my odometer around 7.6-8L/100km city drive. This year I did a few DIY, cleaned throttle body, cleaned MAP sensor, change engine oil to 10w40 semi synthetic, and I'm seeing that the fuel consumption has increased to 8.8L/100km.

I'm still trying to figure out how the headlamp works, it seems that the light beam height is adjusted by adjusting the tilt of the reflector. The reflector is pushed by a threaded rod which are turned by the adjustment screw and a right angled gear. However, at some point the adjustment screw in both headlamps simply pops out from the housing. I'm thinking that somehow the reflector refused to move, and instead of pushing the reflector, the right angled gear on the long screw traveled, causing the adjustment screw to pop out.

If this happens in just on headlamp, yeah I think it might be an issue of bad unit. But in both, it feels very unlikely.

Just got my starter motor changed to that of the OEM one branded GVOLT by mechanic where my car died.

Original starter motor finally kick the bucket 10 years after my ownership.

macam kena chopped. i swear that i saw people on FB offer to change intake manifold + trade in for RM200.

i changed mine for RM250. Recon IAFM including throttle body cleaning + trade in IAFM. Basically they remove the plastic flap that is causing the issues in it.
If changing to a new unit with the flap is around 550 ish.

Me too. I have same dilemma, less drive for sure won't hit 5K.

Depends on wallet, if ok, go ahead and change it, else drag it until I feel not smooth.

Wallet more important, I have to opt for other sections.

Fan belt 6PK1669 or 6PK1677 ??

My tensioner bearing now vibrating when the A/C compressor is engaged. Last year changed new tensioner bearing, fan belt 6PK1677 but it still vibrating - then I changed alternator pulley: vibration gone.

Now the vibration is back but not as bad when the alternator pulley was faulty.

Done replacing all the necessary parts, mostly rear suspensions and all the connected parts, except lower arm bar. Feel good when take corners, no more feel swinging and those squeaking sound. 2 Goodyear Triplemax assurance, 2 kayaba absorbers, tulang anjing left and right. Now I am going bto replace my engine mount next, any good reliable brand should I go to apart from the original proton. Seems that the original is quite expensive compare to any after market brand.

damaged about rm1.1k, but I am satisfied with the outcome. My 2011 persona is getting younger again at least for coming years of 2 or 3.

what is you guys mileage? mine persona 2013 already clocked 300k km. never in my mind that proton can withstand up to this mileage.

guys,, are these items original mitsubishi or fake? i want to buy change full suspension for my car,,

just changed my tyres 4 biji , and change used rims from proton as well.
Was using B-Line with steelies.
Anyone knows how to change the bulb for fog lamp?
And if refoaming the seat is cheaper or to get a new bucket seat ??

Balancing and alignment all perfect? Some shop will align car wheels to have neutral camber to preserve tyre thread. Think original persona elegance spec will have some negative to it.

I replaced everything on the front end and all the suspension parts on the rear. Well worth the money.

I had them replaced slowly because lack of funds. If you do it in one go, you'll save more. The car was feeling bit floaty and jumpy when I drive 120km, only after I replaced the rear suspension the car feels solid and planted on the ground.
