close relative last 2 weeks found out that there was a black shadow in lung. doc said mayb it was cancer. however wen report came out, doc said jz normal inflammation in lung.

but, yday wen he wen to see the doc again, doc said it was serious inflammation. so we try to find another lungs specialist for checking. y? coz we fel tat the doc so lau ya.

a forumer gave me few docs name fr gleneagles hos. but i hope can hv more choices. i mean expert of expert.

wow so many ppl with lungs problem recently... just last week my friend was admitted to hospital for coughing blood... suspected tibi on the 1st report, when the lad does another test on its, it wasnt tibi... the hospital coudnt even confirm wats my friend is suffering from but he is on tibi medication neway... after discharging only might go for 2nd oppinion...

Just wanna share with all forumer.. IPR is (Institut Perubatan Respiratori @ Institute of Respiratory Medicine), also known as a TB Center.. But now more specialize in Respiratory (Lungs Problems like asthma, COPD, TB, etc)
Same like Institut Jantung Negara but of course they are specialize in Heart and we are specialize in Lungs..
If you wanna see a Consultant or Pulmonologist you need a referral letter from others hospital or clinics..

Any chest or internal medicine physician (those with MRCP
beside their MBBS) can treat COPD.

Usual treatment are antibiotics, bronchodilators and inhaled steroids.


You can go to the government chest hospital in Jalan Pahang,
just next to Tawakal Medical Center.

Almost all private hospitals will have a chest specialist. Any consultant
physician in internal medicine can also treat lung conditions.


You can try my schoolmate, Yap Boon Hung, in Tung Shin. He's been
there for the past 25 years. There are two chest physicians there, the
other is a lady, Ming Hui Ying.

Yung Ying Fatt was one of the first chest physicians in the country.
He was from Lady Templer Hospital in Cheras.

He is not attached to any hospital. His clinic is called
