Hi. I understand with Shopee, Shopee hold the money paid until the buyer confirms having received the purchased item. That protects the buyer.

What about others like Qoo10 or Lazada or 11st? Do they have similar protection for the buyers?

those platform even better. they hold for even longer time between 15-30 days or more.
as their platform process sales by monthly or so, and for refund incase got any dispute from buyer,

Shopee is the least safest for buyer as once purchase confirmed, money will released to seller within 24 hours (including weekends/PH)
Once money released its 50/50 chance buyer can win a dispute

Rarely buy at Qoo10 so im not so sure, but i guess it should be that way.
For 11st and lazada it works that way.

anyway all these sites (including Lelong) also has the same functions, this is the basic functions for platforms to act as middle-man to protect buyer's interest.
Sites that payments are made to the sites rather than seller's account.

Exception is Carousell whereby buyer can direct make payment to seller or payment to Carousell.
correct me if im wrong, not a Carousell user.
