thank you for the replies but i think most of you misinterpreted my question already sweat.gif i am not referring to the black "L" that resides within the ruler bar in the beginning but rather the grey square tab that is highlighted.

perhaps the existence of the letter "L" is misleading :haha:

*L means "lan"

that is column break, just go to layout -> columns, change back to "one".
i still remember, last time during study secondary school. I always like to use word to split columns then put all the nota then make the font in all size 6.
Then bring to exam for cheating.

That's not column break.. that's markings for Table... (You can see there's table option in the menu)
Column's break marking's a bit different

Are you sure there's no table there?
Probably... hidden / no lines options?
Try selecting around that area... or press ctrl-A and check if there's definitely no table there...

yeap, no visible tables and the attached pictures shows the highlighted page. it appears there is somewhat a "table" but is it even possible to insert a table into the page and then remove all the lines o_O?

so how do i get rid or it? just highlighted it and then delete?

Try select and hit 'backspace' (not delete)
Delete will only clear content inside a table..
Backspace delete the table itself

Or you can try click the icons and choose all borders if there's any...
