Hi guys, recently got myself a Q10 pro and subscribed to *ahem* iptv streams. However, when playing back the streams on my pc, the frame rate is much smoother than on my box connected to the tv and the video is way less noisy. Been cracking my head for days but still cant get solve this doh.gif

the default youtube version can't do 4k.

u need a diff version.

try this latest one:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/yo...d-apk-download/

when u play a 4k video, go to stats for nerds, u can read current / optimal resolutions.

The subtitle skipping is really annoying...

When was the last firmware version without this issue? Anyone knows?

I think this has been the case since the last 2-3 updates

Yes, I mentioned the problem before. The futeko forum also got people complain. Don't know they will fix or not.

it is 3840x2160.

if it is not, u won't see "current" at 3840x2160 - try some other videos to verify.

but u will not see HDR... can't do. i do not know which box or smart tv can do 4k HDR for youtube.

viewport is just the resolution of the UI - just about all boxes have UI in 1080p, not in 4k.

You should have waited for future FW, see if they fixed or not. I think the problem is with only certain subtitles where the dialogue text timing is too close to one another, so the bug in the FW skip certain lines.

Sometimes I switch to a diff subtitles source (external/Internal), it solve the problem.

Mine are usually external subs, same issue that I’m experiencing.

Anyway, while I like himedia (still have my ol’ q3ii that I’m using temporarily), I’m exploring other brands 😊

This link on 1st page (http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=3592.0) for Q10 Pro firmware upgrade states that it is only for European Q10. The Q10 Pro I bought in Malaysia is an European or Chinese? How to check and confirm?

If bought from local seller like 'nicety' then it's european model. If order online from China website, then be careful

i think this is a subs provider problem.

becos i see the same skipping when using kodi player.

anyway, yes, do try another box, let us now how this and other issues come out.

if u had bought it locally, it should be "european" version.

if u bought from china or online sourced from china, it will not be.

For me when first experienced the subtitles problem with the Q10 pro, I have already tried the same file with all my older players, all no problem with the skipping lines.

Only Q10 pro has this bug. I read in forums this only started in last few FW.

Sometimes if download a different external subtitle , which happen to have a bigger timing gap in the code (when a few lines of subtitles appear in quick succession), the subtitle display correctly.

So it shows that the Q10 pro FW, somehow ignore certain lines when the timing gap is too close to one another.

i noticed it in firmware up to 203. it went away with 204... i remember i tested it with the same files.

then i noticed it again occasionally with 207.

but as i seldom use SRT, i dun really get it much.
