I'm thinking of buying a new phone. I'm not sure which one to get. Have seen both and quite okay. Vivo nex has better hardware while Oneplus 6 has better software. I'm upgrading from a Note 5. Phone feeling a lil old. Still bearable but feeling like want something new

Edit. The Vivo also has a significantly bigger battery which I quite like. Problem with making a choice is both is literally same price. (getting midnight black) Which defeats the value aspect of the oneplus 6
Nex
-Futuristic display
-Much bigger battery
-feels more worth imo since other countries the diff is at least 70USD

Oneplus
-Better software(*feels* smoother)
-better design. Feels more premium
-Fingerprint much faster
-6T coming out in 3 months thou

I prefer OnePlus 6 but I have other alternatives
Asus Zenfone 5Z blows both of them out of the water with price to hardware ratio.
Mi 8 is priced very competitively against them.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is the only small flagship with a compact display yet with water resistance and still remains cheaper than your choices(Personally my favourite, because phones these days are too big).

Thank you for the recommendation. I think I'll stick to these 2 as I have short-listed the others for some reasons.

Most likely going for oneplus. Why do you prefer it thou

Asus Zenfone 5Z has Snapdragon 845, metal back with wide angle camera. Did I also mention that it's UI has the ability to play PUBG while live streaming your gameplay to Twitch at the same time while also maintaining your phone's temperature well? Also its price is RM1699. It also still has the headphone jack and expandable storage.

Xiaomi Mi 8, a blatant copy of iPhone X but without water resistance and has better software and 3 times cheaper than iPhone X, slightly cheaper than OnePlus 6.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, the sturdy and smooth hard plastic feel, the water resistance, the Snapdragon 845, the most underrated camera of 2018(hardware does not equal camera quality, people), the long term software support by Sony(even better than OnePlus, but nobody buys Sony phones because sometimes their prices are too high) and the compact screen for easy one hand use. It has everything a smartphone should have(except for a headphone jack), and it does the basics right, it is durable, hard to shatter and not slippery. Everything feels right with the phone. Also the audio, Sony does great audio. All of my favourite features all for RM2000.

NEX for sake of showing off, that's about it.

OP6 is an everyday phone.
