You will need to find old Plasma TV. I had a 50" that survived couple of years 24/7 before my dad bought his own Plasma TV for his new house. His TV already 8 years old, 24/7 on. If you turn it off while he's sleeping, he will wake up and scold you.
This is lower end model. Only 200 or so zones compared to C845 which is supposed to have 570zones (65"). I wonder if they will bring in higher end model or just stick with lower end.
It doesn't matter DV can support upto 10000 nits. DV is an active HDR which is made to suppress brightness for so called creator intention. To be honest, sometimes it made the dark scene really hard to watch in dim light.
well in that case HRD10+ does the same thing. Which brings us back to the point - the only reason Samsung is still not including Dolby Vision is purely cost, nothing to do with any technical aspects
Yes, but most streaming don't support hdr10+. Hence it will still be brighter.
If they dont release them by end of July or August, I'm just gonna go Samsung already. Either 75 QN85C or 65 QN95C. Actually I'm leaning towards Samsung atm.... just have to wait for the price to drop a bit. This guy is a controversial youtuber.... look up more on him
Want less bullshit and facts always wait for Vincent Teoh from HDTVtest. Technicalities and hard facts wise nothing beats him.
Though I must say all these reviewers they dwelt a lot into how the picture should look accurate.... which is something not many consumers tend to enjoy
Nowadays I just visit AVS Forums for user feedback
I think he's okay. You do know he's getting hate from tv brands because of his critics. Besides he's showing stuffs on the video to back them up. I think the others are the one that have to butter up to the manufacturers to get tv sample every now and then. This guy bought every tv he did videos on.
That's not the main issue though. He is just a troubled person
Anyway if you want another reviewer that purchase his own tv instead of getting samples from brands, there's classy tech. But again he dwells a lot into the technicalities and that could be boring for some
Vincent Teoh does purchase his own TV for reviews as well
Oh well, personalities wise isn't the greatest but that's not my concern anyway. I don't calibrate my tv but am interested at how the settings could affect the PQ.
Apparently TCL is not able to get their C845 SIRIM's approval (as of yesterday) in time for July released. Their next target date is now push to end August. Crack joke with them as if the delay in the SIRIM approval could probably be due to SIRIM staffs like the sample 75C845 too much that they decided to hold it longer before release it back to TCL. I am sure TCL Malaysia is eagerly to unleash their flagship C845 into Malaysia market once they had the SIRIM's approval anytime sooner. I see no reason why they would like to purposely delay introducing the C845 into our market since C845 have so many positive reviews all over EU/Asia/Australia market after released.
In the other hand, Hisense is not doing anything to get their flagship tv into Malaysia consumer market as of today. I am still waiting to see if Hisense has any plan to bring in even their last 1 - 2 years model especially their U8H series here. Hello Hisense where are you??
For those who likes bigger size tv above 75", TCL plan's for the consumer is
85C645 - Probably same time with the release with C845 98C755 - 2023 Q4
Hisense owned Toshiba. I wouldn't find it surprising that they choose to stay in low-mid end for hisense and use toshiba brand for higher end tv since SEA Market still fans of Japanese brands.
