Yeah my bad, didn't check it properly.

Besides that, i wonder is this model similar to/exactly is C935 or c835. https://m.tb.cn/h.U99bfKE?tk=2fbCd468CDv
Sorry the link is in Chinese. I thinking to directly get it from taobao. I aware of the warranty issue, other than that what need to be considered before buying from China directly?
*
Mini LED backlighting has much deeper blacks compared to QLED right?

The 75" from that link costs like RM5k which is the same as the Xiaomi Q1 75". How much to expect to pay for tax and GST?

Might be off topic but I have an active pair of bookshelf speakers, will the speaker have a buzzing sound if i connect it to the let's say TCL C635 tv?

My current setup, the speaker buzzes a lot when connected directly to my monitor/TV via 3.5mm jack

TCL on Shopee just told me the C835 will be launched end of the year lol. Worth waiting for just get the C635?

Anyway, how good is the anti reflective coating on the c635? There's a big window next to my TV with lots of light coming in.

I think c835 will be 2x price of c635 lol. Diff category. If u wan gaming better get native 120hz panel. End of the year only launch 2022 model, very pandai tcl malaysia 😂 if they launch it with good price possible still can accept.
*
Mainly for youtube and netflix.

Maybe for PS5 if I ever get one in the future..

Yeah, I was looking at the C835 prices on shopee singapore, it is around RM6k for the 65" which is 2x the C635.

Anyway I just got back from senheng elite, really got poisoned by the sheer immersion of a 75" panel. I think I have decided to go for 75" and was looking at the Xiaomi Q1 75" QLED and VA panel with FALD. Too bad reviews mentioned it is using an older Android 10 OS and the UI can be a bit slow. No native 120Hz also. Cheapest RM4.6k from shopee. A bit hesitant because this model is like almost 2 years old already.

Update: the Xiaomi seems to be plagued by software issues (slow loading times when adjusting settings, stuttering, old android OS)

Was checking the specs of the C835 vs C635 and quite good stuff:

+ mini LED backlighting with proper FALD
+ higher peak brightness
+ proper 120Hz with VRR
+ 4x HDMI 2.1 ports

But the C835 costing like RM6k in shopee SG, im estimating it will be 25% cheaper here as the Msian C635 cost RM3k vs RM4k in Singapore (comparing shopee mall price).

So it the C835 might cost RM4,500 and with vouchers and promo it may drop to RM4,000 possibly...then it will be very tempting.

TCL has confirmed with me that they will bring the c835 to Malaysia end of 2023 only.

C835 has 288 dimming zones with mini LED. Is this a lot? I wonder how would thr black levels be compared to the C635?

Really not sure wanna wait for the C835 for the mini LED FALD but at the same time not sure if it would be a vast improvement over the C635 in black levels and quality of the FALD.

Expecting the C835 to cost RM4-5k for the 65 inch while the C635 can be bought for RM2.5k after discounts.

So guys, I have the 65c635 and very happy with it for my use... Now thinking to add soundbar... Probably Samsung q930b.... Anyone got this TV connected to Atmos soundbar? How's the experience?

Get dedicated speakers if you can. Not expensive also for a basic set.

QUOTE(Mart @ Feb 2 2023, 07:37 AM)
Anyone knows if the C735 will be launching in Msia soon ? or just buy the C635
*
Only model confirmed launching in 2023 is the C835 which is end of the year.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 2 2023, 07:43 AM)
c835 is definitely 2 notches higher than c635, no doubt.

price... i m budgeting rm5k, will see then.

i can wait as current TV continues to live!! laugh.gif

Hoping the black level performance is much better than the C635 to justify the price

U can check review? There should be c835 equivalent for US market not sure wat model can see at rtings.

If ur viewing ambient lighting is bright, the dark level also not really helps. Dark level matters most when viewing at dim lightining or totally no light like cinema. The only thing is c635 is not 120hz capable if gaming wise. For normal use is good TV.

Just placed order rm2227 at shopee for 55”. Wont replace my lg c9 anytime, just for spoilt living room tv which my parents and anyone will use.
*
I think the US equivalent is the Roku R series which got a good review on rtings.com.

One thing I learned recently (can't remember the video) is that very high contrast like infinite contrast in OLEDs will make things look much sharper. Which is why any demo on an OLED look incredibly sharp due to the infinite black/contrast.

So.... an excellent FALD with mini LEDs should produce very sharp looking images rclxm9.gif

C635 has a VA panel (better blacks) and QLED technology.

I got my 65C635 from HLK Taipan, you can go there to view the P and C series. Just note that C series is better than P.

Anyone noticed while playing Dolby Vision videos on netflix, the C635 will brighten up the entire scene about 0.5 secs before the actual bright scene? It does changes brightness frequently during changes in lighting ...

Noticed this especially on the Wednesday series.

Seems like a common problem:

Doing these steps actually worked for me..... FOR ONLY A WHILE.

The problem came back again!!! I had to turn on and off the tv again and it's no longer there...

I am seriously considering returning this TV..

Oh no, I was like 80% sure  on getting this TV, now I'm not too sure if I just even considering this TV.

Maybe I should just stick with Sony.

Better test Dolby vision content in Netflix if you are at the shop.

Yesterday I had to turn off and on the TV 2 times to remove the issue.

I think I will try to get a replacement for it but if the problem persists, might switch to another TV

Just to update: TCL Msia actually had the same issue with their test TV and is now in the stage of testing a software fix from TCL China. PIC told me once the fix is ready, their personnel will come over to my place to apply the fix.

If any C635 owner is having brightness shifting/flickering with Dolby Vision on netflix, PM me so I can pass you the TCL Msia PIC contact.

this problem is only limited to certain shows on netflix right?

Yeah, I don't have any other source to test Dolby Vision on the TV.

But really, if the fix works, I will be happy to buy a high end TCL TV in the future given that they actually try to fix my problem.

However to note that Google TV on this TV isn't quick to navigate in terms of responsiveness and loading speed. Even the TCL PIC told me they know software is their weakness.

I'd only go for another TCL tv once they improve on the software experience, I'm talking about navigating through the TV OS and apps, typing and browsing the youtube app which is really sluggish on my 65C635

Just paid RM2499 for 65" C645 via Shopee.
Add in RM100 tng and RM200 (20000 coins) so final price around RM2199. Is that a good price?

Anyone who got theirs can give some reviews on it? Especially the 3 cons most users complain : laggy OS, viewing angles and HDR.
*
I can comment on the older C635 only..

Laggy, slow OS. WiFi speed isn't that great.

Dolby Vision didn't work well for Netflix, has some brightness flickering (Wednesday and some other shows), however DV for Apple TV worked flawlessly though (I watched Silo) do maybe the issue is with Netflix..
