Comparison between K810i and its predecessor

user posted image

- K810i is thinner than K800i
- The camera cover is the biggest difference between the two mobiles
- They are preloaded with exact the same menu except for some nuances
- Both mobiles adopt a 240x320-pixel screen but K810i's screen is more subtle main menus are exactly the same
- K810i is equipped with TrackID
- Both of them adopt the same music playing interface and support A2DP. The sound quality of the two mobiles is similar
- K810i's operation speed seems to be optimized because its speed of changing themes is slightly faster than that of K800i. In addition, its speed of displaying text is much faster
- They also adopt the same shooting page. It is thoughtful to directly display the shortcut key on the screen

Conclusion : K810i not only features the same functions as K800i does but also acquire more stylish appearance. As for the shooting performance, K810i's noise reduction at night shot is improved. However, K810i is slightly more expensive than K800i. If you can tolerate the fingerprint problem and higher price, K810i is definitely a recommendable mobile.

Read what others have to say about K810i laugh.gif laugh.gif

QUOTE(halsanf @ Jun 21 2007, 12:39 PM)
K810i battery lifetime is very impressive. I am using K810i and N73i but the K810i battery can stand up to 3 days, my N73i only lasting for 2 and 1/2 days (if I use for making calls, sms and snap a picture).

Tips for long lasting ---> reduce the screen brightness at the lowest rate.

I feel very worth it to have K810i
*
QUOTE(vyruzj @ Jun 14 2007, 09:19 AM)
Add me to the list pls. I got my K810 yesterday! Loving it. Build quality is top notch! Stiff buttons? Nah... to me is quite comfy, maybe diff. ppl diff taste
*
QUOTE(beyond430 @ Jun 13 2007, 12:45 AM)
what i can say is.. this phone is absolutely GREAT..!!

- totally no keypad pressing problem like other ppl say
- camera feature can beat most camera-phone
- macro mode is very good, 5-10 cm still very clear
- no lag, hang, or slow down problem
- screen is very vivid
- design is slim and elegant, good on camera cover

only downside is video at QCIF only, SE should make it at least 320*240.

overall score from me is 9.5/10
*
QUOTE(panasonic88 @ May 28 2007, 04:27 PM)
i am very satisfied with my K810i battery life

fully charged this morning, 100%

throughout the day,

i sms & mms for about 20++,
no calls were made today,
few snaps of camera (without flash)

by 4.30pm, the battery level is at 85%
*
QUOTE(StratOS @ May 28 2007, 04:25 PM)
K810 screen damn sharp er.. i think its better than k800 lor.. still remember 1st time on the phone ngaiti.. the screen is like so clear... better than any of my other phones.
*
QUOTE(panasonic88 @ May 28 2007, 04:22 PM)
the K810i & K800i screen, it REALLY, REALLY makes a difference

K810i screen is more vivid and clear

however, K800i still looks good by itself, if you are not comparing both, side by side
*
QUOTE(shinhou @ May 28 2007, 02:16 PM)
By the way, I went to test k810i today.

About the keypads, once you are used to the phone, it's quite comfortable compare to k800i. (Unless you got big fingers, it wont be a disappointment. Yeah, i got slim and long fingers >.<)

Camera mode, the BestPic feature is the best imo, it could generate the 9 pictures INSTANTLY (in 1 or 2 seconds), which stuns me the most.

Sound quality is pretty good but its still the same with k800i.

Video......it's the only downside for that phone, gotta admit it sucks.
*
QUOTE(panasonic88 @ May 27 2007, 09:50 AM)
writing a mini brief review

The Good :

Overall Design, I'd give 9.5/10
Keypad size is just RIGHT
Love the Metalic Round Keypad, so Stylish
The Screen, is Brighter & Crisp & Clear than K800i
The 3.2MP camera reso + Xenon Flash, it rocks!
The Bad :

Prone to finger prints
Upper keypad (Left, Right, Go Back, C keys) are a bit Stiff

*
QUOTE(StratOS @ May 26 2007, 07:24 AM)

Hong Kong supplier provide 1.. Going to upgrade to 2gb when the m2 card prices drop again..

Silicon cases and crystal casing will be in in a few weeks time.. replacemnt LCD plastic also out oredy, the OEM keypas spareparts also oredy out.. wanna get Golden Ivory but wait too long dy..

*Do not.., i say do not or never wrap ur phone in that transparent sticky thing i also duno wuts it called.. my original SP and keypad Gloss protector waas removed by the wraping paper.. so now dunno wanna buy wut SP and keypad gloss protector oredy..

QUOTE(changfui @ May 25 2007, 08:32 PM)
the blink blink (numberic) keypad is very comfortable coz its evenly spaced
while the softkey, return, cancel keys a bit hard to press coz they r too close to each other

*
QUOTE(underGr0und_8 @ May 24 2007, 08:42 PM)
erm...just try at phone shop
anyone who tried, don you think the return/reverse button is too hard to press?

overall
--nice camera
--nice design,especially the button
--slimmer than k800i
--nice snap button

price also not bad ma............................

QUOTE(jabbaian @ May 16 2007, 03:53 AM)

QUOTE(eusioxn @ May 15 2007, 11:55 PM)
Keypad button : well for those who don like small button, u have problem with k810i. basically at 1st when i press the key, its kind of hard to press for me. but after using it for 1 days, i kind of get use to it and now can press and sms in normal speed.

Middle scroll button : i don really like the middle scroll button, more over, it's smaller than k800 i guess. previously i use w810i, so i don really use to scroll button. i prefer press.

keypad light : at 1st i tot the keypad light background is blue colour, unfortunately, it's white colour, as i look into the setting, i cannot change te kaypad light, so the number pad background will be white and top button for menu back cancel button will be blue, doesn't match i guess. well get use to it.

extra two button on top the phone : yea, i like the button, the 2 button is for u to view through the pictures u have taken with ur phone, and it load fast when u view second pictures, it won't lag or make u wait freaking long for viewing a pictures. well done.

Phone function : previously, using w810i, i cannot play 3gp file or mp4 video file, now with k810i, yes i can play everything. no worries. one thing, last time w810i got light function, which comes in handy when u come into dark places and u can switch on, but for k810i, till now i cannot find the light function. sadly said, i guess k810i doesn't have the function.

Phone design : yes, i love the design, stylish looks of the phone, at the back of the phone wasn't actually plastic, it's like sort of with smooth rubber. it feel great when hold in hand. and not easily kena calar. well done.

ok now comes to the interesting part

Quality of the Camera picture taken:

it's great, taken with day time, the pictures is freaking clear. no joke, i'll upload the pictures after this post. one pictures with the reflection of my car window, u'll see the quality. no problem with daylight. as for night time, hmmmm can counted good as well, just a bit of blurry, a bit la. not as clear as the daytime. i have try with macro mode. well done, very clear. try with twilight landscape and twilight portrait, which u can call it as night mode, hmmm quite clear also compare to N73 in my opinion.

Thanks. Nope, not yet. But, going to  rclxm9.gif

I am still struggling between Ori and AP.......because the budget will become quite high if i add 2GB M2..(Ori roughly = RM 1700, AP roughly = RM 1500)

But most probably i will go for Ori, since the resell price is still quite high....*Sayang my wallet  cry.gif *

Any store in KL that could recommend? I live nearby Mid Valley Megamall.
*
get ori if u plan to use for long
worth every of ur penny spend
