Hi,
Recently change motherboard from Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 5 to Asrock Z370 Taichi for my 8700k. Cooler H110i
Previously on Gigabyte (Prime95 wiht AVX Load): 1.365V 5.1GHz 2 AVX offset Max Temp 85 C
Thermal Paste from H110i
Currently on Asrock (Prime95 wiht AVX Load): 1.35V 5.1GHz 2 AVX offset Max Temp 90+ C Thermal Throttle
Thermal Paste Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
Had to tuned it down to 5GHz with 1 AVX @ 1.3V
Idle temp also higher by a wee bit in Asrock
Is this normal?
Thanks a lot

May be that is the limitation of H110i? How is the CPU temperature currently?

Prime 95 testing? old i7 3820. thermal paste been there since bought. I guess it went dried/not efficient since cleaning it out take a lot of effort.. after changing paste all ok. 100 Celsius playing pubg then pc turn off. wanna change rig but waiting for incoming DDR5 since currently using DDR3. lol.

If you can wait, then it is okay. At least need to wait until next year to see. My DDR4 is fast enough.
