I think it’s hard to see a motorcyclist between the car with lots of headlights turned on.

The taxi speed was ok entering the yellow box area while the motorcycle didn’t even slow down approaching the yellow box.

lane splitting so fast for what?
need to see from other side. the bike could be hidden behind the cars.

slow down = defensive riding. No slow down = right of way. By law, he has the right of way. But when accident happen, he feel the pain saja.

some time it's just so hard to predict /sense where the bikes will be coming from...every little gap they can squeeze , they will just use that to get through...in this video, the bike is at the fault..it's takes some common sense to interpret why the cars stopped with a gap in between...

See it from both angle:

Taxi: Waited, no car approaching and cross. Because it cannot see motors in between cars

Motor: No sign of slowing when approaching yellow box. If got slow also not slow enough, must slow to the point of stopping.

It happened many times, motor are riding at quite a speed between cars. They often didn't think of if anyone crossing/cars changing lane. When you are motor are too fast, the cars who is changing lane will not see u.. cuz 1 seconds sees it is clear and change lane, the next second you bang into the car...

Just ask yourself: who has the right of way? Just because the taxi cannot see the motor means he can ram the motor?

If the taxi driver was driving on our B road and overtake a lori balak but cannot see the motor from opposite lane, that means he can langgar the motor too?

You do realize in most circumstances no driver can see/predict when a stupid biker will suddenly emerge right? When all cars stop idle, a smart biker would know better to slow down instead of going full speed.

Too often I've seen near miss from bikers doing this stupid mistake, all cars slow down/stop, they pandai pandai go full speed just to hit another car/pedestrian crossing.

The headlight of the car on the right was too bright for the taxi driver to see hence the taxi driver couldn't see the biker.

You go straight. A car makes a turn and you hit the car. Car driver says you are wrong because you did not try to avoid. So, are you wrong?
It's like saying the victim of a knife attack is guilty for not evading the attack.
The taxi failed to give way to the biker which had the right of way. You want to cross the road, you make sure the road is clear. Is this hard to comprehend?

All said, I still think the biker fails in defensive riding. I think we both can agree on this.

I said the biker has the right of way because he was going straight.

I did not say biker is not an idiot for not expecting the unexpected. I think there are a lot of idiotic bikers who think they are Mr. Invincible - this is coming from someone based in "island of salah LGE".

I kena like that once while rempit, and after learn my lesson, will always slow down at areas like this.. And can say twice I manage to brake to avoid accident again.

I'm sure that biker will know that now. Lesson learned the hard way

If follow rule, might be the taxi wrong. As a main road, main road user rule 1st.

For this accident, nobody wrong or right.

When in red light, car cannot enter the yellow box if front is full. That is normal like in the video. But for bike, there is no full infront right ? As long as got lobang, there will squeeze in. So the bike just hentam straight la. With the right car might block the taxi view, the biker didn't see it.

The taxi cannot see the bike coming in as the right car block his view. Only able to see when the front protrude out over the right car that stop. That is too late and cannot avoid at all. It is just like you reverse out from car park. You cannot get a good view unless almost half of your car out from the carpark when block by the left car.

It is not about his right of way or not.. we agree that not his right to move if there is on coming traffic..

Is like you don't see anything coming, and you cross. Taxi drive and stop, see see.. clear (did not see a fast incoming traffic which was blocked by car) and move...

same thing like you crossing road, u see no incoming traffic and cross then suddenly got a motor bang you. Your fault?
