I think not many yet in lowyat. The bike is kinda in between. It got a good spec like VVA and slipper clutch and USD fork but same CC like moped thus need  10s from 0-100km/j. No different from y15zr. If only Yamaha bump the CC to 200 or or 185. Now still consider Ninja 250sl or this R15.

Yes. 200cc would be better. Design wise, it's a very good looking bike i would say.

Yes it is really good looking bike. sportbike feel with lower cc.
maintainance should be less or more like Y15ZR.
test ride it and feel like ride TZM with 4 stroke engine.

I already brought it, black colour.

Personal opinion why I brought this r15 is
- there is many stupid or pig driver who very lembab driving in highway or town road, so I feel more confident ride this bike below 100km/j for this situation.
- low maintenance. As per review, I saw R25 almost 4k per year for maintainance. Example, I need 1 litre oil engine instead of R25 need 2 litre.
- this is first time I ride a bike with sbk design, so I don't really think I can perform really well especially on cornering for high cc bike. You can say this is my starting ride an sbk style. Before this I use kapchai.
- So far, I can reach 153 top speed with std spec. I trust this bike can go more than that. So I feel satisfied since Y or RS only can go around 143 even 150cc.
- I'm not like this 'hobi kami mahal' else If i'm anak sultan while I hold this bro said 'instead of you waste your money to modi your engine so on why not you just save your money and get a bigger cc" If you modi n you can go with high top speed for long time then I might be agree with that. Example, can you ride your modi bike for 2 hours with 200km/j while your originally you bike only can go to 137km/j? That's the thing. I spoke to many peoples who love to modi their bike and their answer is same "NO".
- High trade value. I was thinking to buy NS200 which is slightly cheaper and bigger cc. But I thinking for the long term with this bike I dont have to worry I want to chage to bigger cc one day.
- KL to Cameron only rm17 and you still have petrol to ride. As per testing, fill rm19 then I can go to 300km.
- The last thing is I like SBK style since I was a kid but I cannot afford that when I was in early teenage.

Hi all,

Actually Im considering buying the r15 for daily use to commute to work. Right now im using the Lc135 travelling almost 200km daily from Semenyih to Genting Highland. My kapchai already over 10years old & having so many issue right now (high temperature especially). Is the R15 suitable for long distance? basically im choosing to buy r15 due to its sporty design & low maintenance cost

Riding position may affect u a little.. but could be ok on u too

Its a lil fast compare to lc135 and injection will help a lot..
But u may consider to give an option for dual piston for your usage.. it could low ur rpm to climb genting too

Wut, R25 maintenance RM4k per year. Yesus H christ, My Gixxer 750 is not even half of that cost, I ride to work almost everyday. Better keep my Gixxer then, new bike quality nowadays has gone from bad to shit I guess.

R15 is not good for long distance. but Semenyih to Genting still ok, under 100km one way.
The vibration will make you hand numb because of single piston. if got more budget better go for double piston.
FC with R15 really good, full tank you can get 350km ~ 450km.
the best FC i got is 2.1L for 100km with speed only below 70kmh or rpm lower than 5000.

If you count in repairs it easily exceeds that.

I mean , I've been paying for a dead bike for a year now cuz I don't have 6 to 7k cash around to rebuild the engine.

Bro, I have tested the riding position on the r15, it is very aggressive, i go to work with a laptop bag on my back, overtime have you experience any back or waist strain riding the bike in a city settings, especially the red light stops, roundabout?
