MiniSD has an adapter to turn it into a full sized SD. I am not so sure about microSD, but I think it's the same.

Drawback? It does not offer speed as much as full sized SD.

Pro? Greater compatibility with other portable devices such as mobile phone and mp3 player.

I think it should work. The only unknown is the speed as mentioned by mengsuan. Somebody need to test it out.

i hv a mini SD with adaptor to full size SD, 80x speed, so far so good, all device read properly, namely 2 panasonic dc, card reader, notebook SD slot.

btw, I was told by notebook service centre that if the SD adaptor got stuck in the notebook SD slot, and subsequently damaging the slot, there will be NO WARRANTY cover.

Is the speed really matters in Capturing Photo? Unless u are taking RAW/Video/Continuos Shot

Speed is important when you want to take multiple shots because a low speed card might be the bottle neck. However, for taking a single shot, it doesn't matter. I'm using a normal Kingston 512MB SD with my S3 and I don't have any problem.

Both MiniSD and MicroSD with adaptor will give full SD.
