Yeah considering versus Mi8 SE at the moment. This A2 Lite has Android One which makes it more appealing, but then its on Snapdragon 625 and no USB-C

Damn it Mi A2 lite is so near to be my perfect phone. Only if they used newer SD636 instead(still can tolerate with microusb)

Valid point. Samsung and Apple phones are way too expensive.  nod.gif

Stay away from Xiaomi if Android One is the main criteria... Spent slightly more on...

Xiaomi is always competing for the price. No official price yet.

I used the Mi A1 for a while and software wise, it wasn't too bad. The security updates were timely, more or less. Any other reason not to go with Mi on Android One?

Mi8 SE, if it has local availability and the price points are about the same.

My biggest concern would be the GPS and the battery. Xiaomi GPS notorious for not functioning, while 3000 mAh battery is dem small wei!!

It is not run by MIUI. I have no GPS issue on the Mi A1 and I expect this will the same for this phone. As for the battery, 3000 mAh kinda small for a 6 inch screen but it is running on a Snapdragon 660 chipset. hmm.gif

So far my xiaomi note 2 gps no problem till now. But the battery is indeed a big concern if u are a heavy user. I have redmi 5 plus with 4000 battery and i need to charge 2 times a day. Imagine this phone but with fast charge, i am willing to live with it.
*
- Fast battery charging 5V/2A/10W (Quick Charge 3.0)
- Fast battery charging (Quick Charge 4.0) - India only

Not sure we are getting which one? blink.gif

Battery
Huawei Nova 3i has a bigger battery with a 3340 mAh, but the capacity is not everything to evaluate the potential battery life of a phone. We will let you know more when we personally review this phone because given that Qualcomm SoCs are often optimized very well (and given the presence of the stock Android One), Xiaomi Mi A2 may feature a similar battery life even though its battery is smaller. Also, note that Mi A2 has Quick Charge 3.0 which charges the battery faster.

For me the biggest Mi A2 con is the smallish battery.

This is tempting. The problem is will we be able to unlock the bootloader? I like phone that gets custom ROM /modding support.

Oh man if they didn't remove the headphone jack it would have been the perfect budget phone.

But they did, and battery capacity remains the same. WTF Xiaomi. doh.gif

Actually what's the plus point with USB Type-C? Type C a bit troublesome for me coz I am still using MicroUSB, need to change almost all of my cables for Type C.
