Number of signings (revealed): Two. About 1.5 month ago I was told that we were still likely to sign two players, which is why I've been posting teasers about "multiple signings". I was told the name of one of them (see: "6/10 hype"), which is the only one that has seemed likely for the past few weeks.

"9/10 hype": The name of this signing was provided to me over two months ago, when he was at an early stage. When the mention of two signings came up, I figured that this "9/10 hype" signing was most likely the one that hadn't been named. I know the name of this target, but he wasn't mentioned in the context of the "two likely signings". Different circumstances have made this signing seem unlikely for the past few weeks, but I won't go into further details until my source lets me.

"6/10 hype" (revealed): Alderweireld. Yes, most of you probably guessed it. He has been a big target for months and the only CB mentioned to me. I haven't received an update since the last mention of him over a month ago, but about 2 hours ago I was told by my source that

    Toby wants to come, Mourinho wants him to come. Levy is the sticking point (surprise surprise)

This one seems like it will go down to the wire, and this is obviously not unknown news, but I thought I'd provide what I currently know as I get multiple questions per day. The club is working on Alderweireld - we haven't given up - but we may end up with zero (or a less attractive) signings if things don't develop in the next few hours.
