I just successfully withdraw 4k from BigPay in HLB atm machine Bayan Baru Penang branch yesterday evening.

Previously, I did in single 1 transaction.
I believe he did in 1 withdrawal also.

There're 4 machines: 1 pure ATM + 3 CRMs.
How you know it's RM 2k limit only?

The pure ATM is said to allow withdrawal up to RM 4k.
As mentioned before, it also depends on number of RM 100 notes available at the point of withdrawal.

I don't have crystal ball to tell you when the ATM machine is loaded with full RM 100 notes.

Which machine you used since there're 4 machines?
Leftmost is the Diebold ATM machine and the rest of the 3 are CRM.

I did in 1 transaction. At first I tried at the Cash Deposit machine and it couldnt dispense so I went over the pure ATM machine and successfully withdrew the amount

At first point , how you know the atm Machine can take out 4k ?

Again, its not illegal doesn't mean we should abuse. Everything has its limit. For the sake of human, when there's free lunch, we just take a potion, let other enjoy what we enjoy, but not taking all and let other empty hand, its all about moral and ethic that we learn from school old past day.

i experienced it trying to withdraw from Bank Islam Ampang branch ATM at about 11pm two months ago...
so i just    and    the ATM a bit... feeling lost... walked in and out of the ATM area... and after grumbling to myself for 10 to 15mins, (yes.. that long...) the card came out by itself...

phew... and i never withdraw outside banking hours again for bigpay...

I will go klia2 tomoro. Which ATM can withdraw rm3k or 4k and where? Thanz

I use it regularly at the pump.. Similar to debit cards, there will be a pre-authorized amount of RM 200 charged to the BigPay card immediately during swipe.. A few days later, when the transaction is settled, it will show the correct amount and the remaining balance will be made available back to you..

Both Pin & Pay & PayWave works fine, but I prefer to use Pin & Pay.. Because BP has a daily contactless limit of RM 250, using it for the preauth of RM 200 will reduce the amount of times I can use PayWave the remaining of the day..

Thanks for the detailed explanation. For me I don’t think I will use bp at petrol pumps just simply due to the pre authorisation charges, unless I have no choice (need to pump during weekdays)
