only a matter of time before they block rooted phones just like other banking apps though
*
This one quite easy to manage. My phone is rooted and I can use all banking apps without issue.

I've joined the redirection to advertising page now. Wtf...I need the BigPay to function for an important internet purchase. How do you guys solve this? Will this issue happens if topup using FPX?

The top-up is actually successful. Just need to wait a while before the top-up amount shows up in your app.
Winter Redirection is coming.

crap I'm fucked
I top up 3 times RM 3k but was redirected to advertising sign up page
Now my BigPay has almost 6k in balance, lucky one of the reload 3k failed

Guys anywhere to get card statement from BigPay? I tried to purchase something from a US Ecommerce store and now they require it for verification of billing address.

U didn’t manage to key in OTP in 1 out of 3 trials?
*
All manage to key in OTP. Just my first time encountering this issue and panicked a bit.
30 minutes later receive notification from the app 2x 3k top up successful. Lucky bank block one due to suspicious & rapid transactions.

Mind to tell which bank card u used? Bcoz if for pbb, normally as long as u able to key in OTP then sure go through even it is within short time .. unless u key in wrong OTP.. else, it is captured by bank..
*
UOB Bank.
Sorry the top up card is HSBC.

Is it just me that almost every time I open the app, the transactions page will load for some time? Sometimes they still don't appear and I have to kill the app before opening it again, then it will be OK.

I don't recall such behavior earlier, only noticed recently and regardless of the connection I was using.
*
Same issue as well. Sometimes it will fail to load, have to kill the app and reload again.

I used my BigPay for many purchases.
But the point has been "0" for a long time.

How long ago were your purchases? I've noticed that my transactions only earn points after they are settled. That said, I'm still one point down from a transaction that counts too.

On another note, what counts as a petrol purchase? I tried using my card over the counter and had it count as a retail purchase instead.

Currently in Taiwan. Before I came, I changed NTD2000 for emergency use @RM275. When I'm here, I withdrew from ATM that charged me NTD100 in addition to RM10 charged by bigpay. So I ended up with paying RM2,762.93 for NTD20,000. Kanine!

Even if I withdraw from ATM that doesn't charge for withdrawal, the rate is about the same with money changer after being charged by bigpay. Only save about RM1.20 for 20K NTD.
*
I don't think BigPay is worthy if you plan to withdraw in cash. It's only worthy when you use it for card transactions.
Eg. Money changer rate is 13.87 THB right now but in BigPay can get 13.75 last week.

Was told there is a BigPay staff lurking around in this thread. Any possible way to increase the limit from 10k to 15 or 20k?

short answer: no

long answer: subject to business needs, market conpetitiveness, and finally approval from BNM. RM10k is already stretching it, unless bigpay going for bigger, signnificant business and with even more stringent policies, processes, monitoring, reporting, put in place.

BNM compares with few things:

1) marketing competitiveness (anyone offering higher than RM10k?)?
2) business needs (why need higher than RM10k?) --- perhaps getting a digital bank license may indirectly given allowance for higher size? who knows.
3) customer needs and security (is it enough or need more systems/policies to protect customer's >RM10k money in bigpay?)
4) risks (customer fraud, merchant fraud, AML/CFT activities, etc) -- what are the systems/policies to monitor and mitigate this?

just because YOU want >RM10k doesnt mean it has any signifiance to bigpay's wallet size.
*
Well BigPay revolutionise the prepaid card market when they were first introduced.
I was hoping they continue with that. RM 10k is limiting factor for me, at least for now.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ May 8 2020, 04:41 PM)
Hidden charges is conversion rate.
U do know u are NOT supposed to use personal Credit/Debit card for business purposes no?
Becareful as provider may clawback your points if they want to take actions.

Just like the woman with Maybank case.
*
What woman with Maybank case? Can share more?
Maybank doesn't offer any Business debit card as far as I know. The only way to pay AWS bills is through card.

Don't really feel comfortable sharing private information like that. If it's due to suspicious activity, it's understandable.. But seems like they're randomly blocking accounts, freezing money until I show my private info?.. Feels like extortion..blackmail? 😏

In another perspective, having my money, that's supposed to be highly liquid, yet suddenly being unable to use, to me, that's "unreliable"

If their reason is security, that's their problem, if user is dumb enough to give away otp. Don't freeze my money. They're not MACC 😂😂

I know.. brain fart.. Apologies
*
Imagine you just reloaded 2.5k and in Japan planning to spend
suddenly freeze laugh.gif

Thats the thing..I tried with my both Maybank & Cimb CC before..th PS Store NZ region didn't accept my card.

Even i used PayPal also failed.

Thats why wanna try BigPay & if anyone have successfully buying games from PS Store using BigPay please do share with us here 😬
*
If use Paypal also failed then it's not BigPay issue. More like the store block overseas transaction.
