I’ve made a puchase on Lazada, but unfortunately, it was refunded by them for more than 7 working days.

On bigpay app, it says settled and no signs of any refund. While Lazada claimed that it has been refunded. Anyone experience such an issue?
*
Not sure if you are using Lazada wallet, but they might refunded it to that.

Been using BP in Europe (physical shops) for the past 2 weeks and have never had a problem. Exchange rate is really fantastic.

The only "issue" is that all the transactions go through without PIN, which means anyone can use my card if I lose it and don't block fast enough.
*
yea... not many countries use pin.

Newbie for BP & uobpayonline here.

Paid my maxis bill on Tuesday night, only received email confirmation on Thursday morning.

Is this delay normal for BP & uobpayonline?
*
I think pretty normal for UOB.

=====
Not confirmation from BigPayJonathan that BigPay won't have SST?

Top up BP and boost and withdraw RM2000 at RM4 cost, so you still gain RM81...
*
RM4 or RM6?

Bro, refer to post #01 FAQ > Q5, your may try HLB ATM for max 4k withdrawal.
*
I'm thinking whether it is some sort of settings that we need to change to increase the limit just like the ATM card. Can't find any answer to that.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Aug 30 2018, 07:53 PM)
I believe the limit is with the ATM machine instead, in fact majority of machines are limited to 1.5k per withdrawal.
*
Thanks for the info, exactly the answer I'm looking for.

I would like to ask what if I purchased something in USD, say USD100. That roughly means I’m being charged for around RM410.

If the item is cancelled few days later will I get exactly RM410 back or it’s based on the exchange rate of the cancellation day? Usually that happens to credit card and usually the return rate is less favorable as well but I’m not sure that applies to BP.
*
Happen to me before... I just call the bank and told them that the amount is different from what I paid. And they refunded the differences. (I paid few thousands, so a few cents different in exchange rate will rake up a lot!)

I have come across a merchant who straight away said can't use BP. Didn't want to argue with her. Wasting my breath.
*
Did the merchant try? If they accept credit card, I don't see why they don't accept prepaid card. And the interchange fee is lower too compared to credit card.

You can estimate only and set a preset amount at the self service dispenser.
If you pay over the counter, there shouldn't be pre-authorized amount imposed.
*
For full tank, we just need to inform that counter right? No need to pay anything first? (Long time no pay by cash, can't remember the procedure already... sweat.gif )

QUOTE(BigPayJonathan @ Oct 3 2018, 10:25 AM)
Hey, I'm really sorry you feel that way. Keep in mind this is only the second phase of our contactless cards roll-out. There's more to come and we're going to make sure that nobody feels left out. But we needed to be mindful in how we proceeded with this, for a few reasons. First, if we had released the new contactless cards and allowed everyone to re-card immediately... From a stock management and delivery perspective, this would have made it very difficult. And probably not great from a customer point of view as well: bear in mind that cards go inactive when they're being replaced, and that's something we've been assessing whether there was a workaround or not.

We considered different options in how we were going to re-card our oldest and most loyal users - including doing it by batch starting from earliest adopters. But this would have created a lot of technical work at a time where we'd rather have our teams focused on delivering a better app & experience.

Anyway, I completely understand how some of you will feel about it - and I anticipated it. Not trying to say we've made the best decision, just explaining what was the thinking behind the route we took!
*
I think the problem here is not when we get the contactless card, but why we need to refer 2 friends to get it. You can still roll out the card by batches without the need of referring 2 friends.

Who cares.
As if they will disclose to you.

If it is fixed by BP, it might solve some of the earlier reports that BP not accepted by certain merchants.

Just notice this (on the contactless upgrade referral)

QUOTE
At this moment the only way for you to upgrade your card to a contactless card for free is to successfully refer 2 friends to BigPay before Oct 31, 2018. Otherwise you will either have to pay a card replacement fee of RM20 or wait until we announce the next phase of our card replacement plan. If you wish to replace your card for a fee, please contact our support and inform them that you would like to get your contactless BigPay.

Any idea if it is extended?
