same here.

You probably already know, but just to confirm, when you type in the mobile number, is it with or without the '0' at the beginning?

I did not encounter any problem when I registered. They sent OTP via email instead of sms though.

The registration to the app is more for the tracking purposes. In case you really can't register, you still can use the BigPay card to tap, just that you won't know the details and fares of your rides.

wow extra 50cents per use?
*
My transaction last week just got posted in the SimplyGo app. $0.50 charge is for per posting. Posting is done every 5 days or whenever $15 is used. It is still better than paying cash as paying cash, the fare for one ride is already $0.50 more. Still waiting for it to be posted in BigPay app.

I think the guy who claimed can use BigPay there. He works in SG  Having SG hp number
*
QUOTE(kit2 @ Apr 11 2019, 03:56 PM)
no registration for me.

if you want to track your rides, then you need the app or portal.
*
QUOTE(#Victor @ Apr 11 2019, 04:01 PM)
i see, registration purely just for ride transaction history? if travelling there no need register can be used straight out of the box right?
*
QUOTE(kit2 @ Apr 11 2019, 04:15 PM)
looks like you need a +65 number in order to register. but it doesn't stop you from using your mastercard.
*
QUOTE(wjleong15 @ Apr 11 2019, 07:40 PM)
regardless with or without
still same error
will try again later
*
I think I got lucky. I did the registration a day before the launch on 4 April and had no issue using Malaysia mobile number. It could also possibly be a bug in their app that causes the error. If foreign mobile numbers can't be used, then they won't have the pulldown menu for you to select your country. So probably either write to them or keep trying.

However, you can still use the BigPay card for the rides without any registration. Registration on the app is merely for tracking purposes, and for claims. So just start tapping away for the convenience.

You're welcome
I also linked my bp
But... does it incur additional charges by using bp to pay?
I din follow the thread for about a week
I remembered I saw somebody said 0.50sgd per use?
do correct me
hmm.gif
*
SGD0.50 is charged per posting. And posting is done either every 5 days or when the total fare reaches SGD15. So if you are there for 3-4 days, and fare does not go over SGD15, then you will be charged the total fare of all rides plus the SGD0.50 only. For two posting, then you will be charged SGD1. For me, it's still a pretty good deal.

First time user here. Can I only top up big pay after selecting my airasia flight?
I do not wish to top up much money in my e wallet before I confirm to buy my ticket.
Thanks.

i think i know what you mean. after selecting everything and u got ur final amount, reload your bigpay with the exact amount and pay.
*
Yes, that's exactly what I do all the time. Reloading is fast. So I will select everything and reload and make the payment.

Great news indeed...can't wait for it  rclxms.gif  Actually I would prefer that BP embosses our name on the card too
*
They used to print name on the old big prepaid card. It was so personalised. I was thinking, since they have to print the card (at least that's what is shown on the app when we apply the card), they should just print our name on it.

Dear all, have you guys tried to use BP in China? Is it the same like HK where there is double currency conversion?
*
QUOTE(mamamia @ Apr 27 2019, 04:07 PM)
I used it b4, the merchant didn’t asked what currency to use.. then he slot in my card into the machine n the txn went through without pin or signature.. also not wave..

My bigpay shown pending with RMB amount.. but when I come back, it settled in MYR. The rate is as per the credit card slip.. ended up it is more expensive than I pay with cash.. extra RM9 as per the currency for RM260 payment
*
In China, depending on which city you are in, Mastercard and Visa card acceptance is very low. If card is accepted, many times it's Union Pay. And also do take note that there may be a fee of about 3% charge if you use credit card. So it seems like your RM9 is about 3% of the RM260 you paid.

So I personally wouldn't use BigPay in China. I'll use mostly cash, sometimes Wechat Pay or Union Pay card.

Problem with Lazada.

When using desktop, no matter what, I can't use BP.

With phone's app, using the BP data already saved on Lazada doesn't work.

With phone's app, manually key in BP data anew and it works.

Is there something I am missing?
*
I usually use Lazada mobile app, and use BP to reload into Lazada wallet. No problem.

er.. main idea is for them to have their own cards and i pump in travel expense, birthday reload, thanksgiving reload.
also - BPay card can have supplementary? woo.. hm.. something to think about if U meant this.

if U meant my credit card supplementary - dangerous for them tongue.gif - i've a lot of outstanding credit card debts due to flex-payments & balance transfer. ie. "jointly & severally liable" t&c for most credit cards

You can top up your BigPay card, and then do a transfer to your family members.

So for you, the availability payment via CC is based on what items you're selling while the one we're disputing are those stores that insist on minimum payment of RM50 in order to use our CC, which are two different things.

Correct me if I'm wrong but for the latter, whether our payment is <RM50 or >RM50, the merchant will still be charged a certain percentage by Visa / Mastercard right? So in the end, it doesn't really matter at all because the % is fixed.
*
So for those merchants that impose a minimum spending to use credit cards, I believe their thinking is that, if you purchase anything lower than RM50, then you pay cash and that would be 0% extra cost for them.

Seriously?

You think buyers nowadays are like 10 years ago?

This way of doing business will hasten your chap lap journey.

If can't afford to lose out the narrow earning. Then don't do something stupid.
*
Right, that's why nowadays buying online makes so much sense.

It is a backend processing thing. The front end (MRT/bus reader) is only capturing ID info (card number etc.). Then a server / database actually tracks the trip.

For Mastercard contactless bank cards, fare charges will be accumulated for up to 5 days or after a total of $15 is spent on transit fares, whichever is earlier.

For Visa contactless bank cards, fare charges will be accumulated daily.

Same charge and no extra charge then is good news. rclxms.gif

If individual transactions is not recorded in app (within a week) then does the balance still deducted after payment made? hmm.gif
I guess transaction on your side have to wait few days for the status: Pending changed to Settle.
It is indeed. cry.gif

QUOTE(limeuu @ Jun 17 2019, 08:48 PM)
The final total sum was received a week after I left....
*
Just to add a point, for the accumulated fare charge that is received either 5 days later or upon hitting S$15, there is an admin fee of S$0.50 charged for using foreign cards. It is acceptable as the cost of getting the tickets at the ticket machine is so much higher, definitely more than S$0.50. And I don't want to get the Ezlink card that costs S$5. There is also a minimum amount of S$3 that needs to be in the Ez-link card for any rides. And to top up Ezlink card, we have to queue at the ticket machine to do so. So riding MRT with BigPay is definitely so much more convenient.

Zalora seems to have issue with BP, I faced the same problem before and I think I read in this thread others encountered the same as well.
So I paid with PayPal linked with BP.

Or use Boost to pay.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Jun 19 2019, 03:17 PM)
Some malls do have special offer for Unionpay cardholders though...

Other than that, it's probably just like your typical Visa and Mastercard, but widely accepted in countries like China as well.

And maybe also can access Unionpay Lounge in Pavilion KL? biggrin.gif

Other than that, you'll probably be the unique one of the bunch, because you could be the only one among the people you know using Unionpay.
*
Right.... the unionpay lounge....I have yet to try. 😜

Another good value to unionpay card, I feel like VIP at china visa centre. 🤣 Just flash my card and skip the queue.

hi want to ask is it me or anyone of you not able to pay hotel booking on Agoda using bigpay?
if pay now, booking failed
if pay later/pay at the hotel, booking successful. but i believe when come to billing date, transaction also wont go through

any thought?
*
If use Agoda app, I can't pay with BigPay. It will always ask for OTP and after putting the OTP, it failed. So I always use my credit card. With credit card, there is no OTP needed, transaction is successful immediately.

If I remember correctly, I was able to use BigPay on Agoda website. I always pay now, coz pay later always have some fine prints, and the cost may end up higher.

Did anybody have problem paying to Digi app?

Got problem something about security issues with BP
*
I was using BigPay for Digi auto billing for the past few months without problem. However, the transaction was declined last month. There was sufficient amount in the card. I chatted with cs and I was told that there wasn't any problem with my card. Digi tried the transaction 4 times but all were declined. Declined reason was "transaction issues" as stated in the app. So I decided to just cancel auto billing and pay manually.

Just did the payment just now via mydigi app and transaction was successful.
