after the update it seem the system has improve a lot, top up as usual seamless and points given and updated on the spot, payment wise it settled within 1-3 working days.

Kudos to bigpay team. thumbup.gif

did u use pre-authorize transaction, i mean swipe on the petrol kiosk and select "Fill up".

Or u enter amount like RM30 fix?

If u use the pre-authorize method then u need at least RM200 float inside your bigpay account.

if not mistaken there is 2 option based on my experience with Petronas

1. Fill up (Hold up RM200 as float)
2. Enter amount (Deduct exact amount as u key in)

If the 2nd option is not available, just go to the counter and swipe inside.

Still subject to clearance fee or merchant fee because it is link to Master, somehow LHDN doesn't want to absorb these charges and hence the additional 0.8%.

Still got another way to do it, is to withdraw as cash, at least it is much lower than 0.8%.

I'm just back from Japan, apparently some merchant ask u to choose to pay in RM or Yen, if u choose RM, they will charge 4.5% transaction fee, if u choose Yen, it will follow Master conversion rate.

I accidentally choose RM for the first transaction, luckily it was about RM190, after that i choose Yen as payment currency to save that 4.5% charges. Every convenience store will accept credit card over there.

The Japanese look at my card for few minutes and ask me what type of card is this, because bigpay doesn't print name on it (Which i think is good, to prevent fraud), i just politely told him it is prepaid card. He stumble a while and ask me which payment mode, i just ask him choose credit card and the transaction goes seamlessly.

did u enable 3d verification? That secure code come with 6 digit which send by SMS. I think u did not activate that part.
